Why is there something rather than nothing?

51:56 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

67:2 Who created death and life to test you, which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.

22:18 Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment is justly due. And whoever Allah humiliates, then for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.

20:14 Indeed, I Am Allah. (There is) no god but I, so worship Me and establish the prayer for My remembrance.

3:191 Those who remember Allah standing, and sitting and on their sides and they reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth, "Our Lord, You have not created this in vain. Glory be to You, so save us from the punishment of the Fire.

38:27 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them without purpose. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve. So woe to those who disbelieve, from the Fire.

21:16 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them for playing. 21:17 If We intended to take a pastime, surely We (could have) taken it from Us, if We were doers.

6:133 And your Lord is the Self-Sufficient, the Possessor of Mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, as He raised you from the descendants of another people.

33:72 Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and they feared from it; but man bore it. Indeed, he was unjust (and) ignorant.

31:12 And verily, We gave Luqman the wisdom that, "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful, then he is only grateful for himself. And whoever is ungrateful, then indeed, Allah is Free of need, Praiseworthy.

7:10 And We certainly established you in the earth and We made for you in it livelihood. Little (is) what you (are) grateful.

7:179 And certainly We have created many jinn and men for Hell. They have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like cattle, nay, they are more astray. Those - they are the heedless.

32:13 And if We had willed, surely We would have given every soul its guidance, but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with jinn and men all together.

33:73 So that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women and the polytheist men and the polytheist women and Allah will turn (in Mercy) to the believing men and the believing women. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

48:5 That He may admit the believing men and the believing women to Gardens underneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever and to remove from them their misdeeds, and that is a great success in the sight of Allah.

35:15 O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah, He is Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 35:16 If He wills, He (can) do away with you and bring in a new creation. 35:17 And that (is) not difficult on Allah. 35:18 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden calls to carry its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he be a near of kin. You can only warn those who fear their Lord - unseen and establish the prayer. And whoever purifies himself, then only he purifies for his own self. And to Allah is the destination. 35:19 And the blind and the seeing are not equal, 35:20 Nor the darkness and light, 35:21 Nor the shade and heat, 35:22 And the living and the dead are not equal. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, and you cannot make hear those who are in the graves.
