What is the chronological order of the Prophets?

What is the chronological order of the Prophets?

2:34 And when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," so they prostrated, except Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

(Note: Adam is not described as Prophet in the Qur’an; so Adam is not considered a Prophet, then the first Prophet is Idrees)(Note: Adam is implicitly considered (the first) Messenger. See the reason in the article below, Is there any difference between a Messenger and a Prophet?”)(Allah knows best)

19:56 And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was truthful, a Prophet.

7:59 We had certainly sent Noah to his people and he said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of the Great Day."

7:65 And to the ‘Aad their brother Hud. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. Then will you not fear?"

(Note: Hud is only called “Messenger” in the Qur’an, so he is not a Prophet. All Prophets are Messengers, but not all Messengers are Prophets. See the link below, “Is there any difference between a Messenger and a Prophet?”)(Allah knows best)

11:61 And to Thamud, their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him, then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."

(Note: Salih is also mentioned as Messenger but not as Prophet, so he is not a Prophet)(Allah knows best)

19:41 And mention in the Book Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth, a Prophet.

29:28 And Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit immorality, no one has preceded you with it from among the worlds.

19:54 And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to his promise and was a Messenger, a Prophet.

37:112 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet among the righteous.

19:49 So when he left them and what they worshiped other than Allah, We bestowed him Isaac and Jacob, and each We made a Prophet.

12:7 Certainly were there in Joseph and his brothers signs for those who ask.

21:83 And Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful."

11:84 And to Madyan, their brother Shu’ayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. And do not decrease from the measure and the scale. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you the punishment of an all-encompassing Day.

(Note: Shu’aib is mentioned as Messenger in the Qur’an, but not as Prophet, so he is not a Prophet)(Allah knows best)

19:51 And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was chosen, and he was a Messenger, a Prophet.

19:53 And We bestowed him from Our Mercy his brother Aaron, a Prophet.

21:85 And Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.

(Note: Dhul-Kifl is not described as Prophet or Messenger, though “Dhul Kifl is mentioned in Chapter 21 called “The Prophets”, so, despite he is not explicitly mentioned as a Prophet, one interpretation is that by mentioning him in Chapter 21, called “the Prophets”, then he is implicitly considered as a Prophet. Another point is that the number 21, in Chapter 21 (“the Prophets”), may also indicate that there are 21 Prophets. By considering Dhul-Kifl a Prophet, there are 21 Prophets. Dhul-Kifl is also a Messenger because all Prophets are Messengers)(Allah knows best)

2:251 So they defeated them by permission of Allah , and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him the kingdom and the wisdom and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for the repelling by Allah, [the] people - some of them with others, the earth would have certainly been corrupted, [and] but Allah is Possessor of bounty to the worlds.

27:30 Indeed, it (is) from Solomon, and indeed, it (is), "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

37:130 "Peace upon Elias." 37:131 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 37:132 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.

38:48 And remember Ishmael and Elisha and Dhul-kifl, and all are from the best.

37:139 And indeed, Jonah was surely of the Messengers.

19:2 A mention of the Mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah

19:12 "O John, take the Scripture with strength." And We gave him judgment (as) a child

5:112 When the disciples said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, Is your Lord able to send down to us a table spread from the heaven?" He said, "Fear Allah, if you are believers."

33:40 Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but the Messenger of Allah and Seal of the Prophets. And ever is Allah , of all things, Knowing.

(Allah knows best)
