Into which two groups is mankind divided? Is Jews vs. Gentiles a correct division?
64:2 He is the One Who created you, and among you is a disbeliever and among you is a believer. And Allah is All-Seer of what you do.
4:76 Those who believe, they fight in the way of Allah; and those who disbelieve, they fight in the way of the false deities. So fight (against) the friends of Satan. Indeed, the strategy of Satan is weak.
18:29 And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a Fire, its walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten brass, which scalds the faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.
2:257 Allah is the Protecting Guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of darkness into light. And those who disbelieve, their guardians are the evil ones, they bring them out of light into darkness. Those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide in it forever.
35:7 Those who disbelieve, for them (will be) a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them (will be) forgiveness and a great reward.
47:3 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus Allah presents to people their similitudes.
3:141 And so that Allah may purify those who believe and destroy the disbelievers.
2:62 Indeed, those who believed, and those who became Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians - who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteous deeds, so for them is their reward with their Lord; and they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.
(Before the Qur’an was revealed, the Jews and Christians who submitted (3:85) and believed (2:62), for them is their reward (2:62)(e.g. trinitarian Christians are not believers (5:17 and 5:72))(The Verse indicates “those who believed”, so mankind is divided into believers and disbelievers. Those who reject the Verses of the Qur’an are disbelievers (2:91, 52:33-34, 46:10, 10:95-97, 23:38-39, 40:70, 29:47, 90:19), so the Jews are required to follow the Qur’an)(Allah knows best)
3:110 You are the best of people raised for mankind - enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong and believing in Allah. And if the People of the Book had believed, surely it would have been good for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
32:18 Then is one who is a believer like (him) who is defiantly disobedient? They are not equal.
4:140 And surely He has revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the Verses of Allah being rejected and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they engage in a conversation other than that. Indeed, you then, (would be) like them. Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together.
28:76 Indeed, Qarun was from the people of Moses, but he oppressed them. And We gave him treasures which indeed the keys of it would burden a company (of men) possessors of great strength. When his people said to him, "Do not exult. Indeed, Allah does not love the exultant.
(If a Jew were a murder, rapist or terrorist, then he would still be a Jew, because having a Jewish mother makes him to be a Jew, according to themselves. On the other hand, “Muslim” is an Arabic word meaning “one who submits (to God)”. By definition, even if a person calls himself Muslim, but he doesn’t submit to the will of God, he is not a Muslim)(According to Verses 68:35-36, Muslims are never criminals, because they obey God, and what God commands is good. On the other hand, most of the People of the Book are defiantly disobedient (3:110), so the Jews would belong to a group in which there are wrongdoers. If a Jew supports other Jews who are criminals, he would be like them. According to Verse 4:140 “do not sit with them until they engage in a conversation other than that. Indeed, you then, (would be) like them”, and Verse 2:85 says about the Children of Israel, “you are those who kill yourselves and evict a party of you from their homes, you support one another against them in sin and transgression”)(Allah knows best)
68:35 Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals? 68:36 What is with you? How do you judge?
7:155 And Moses chose from his people seventy men for Our appointment. Then when the earthquake seized them, he said, "O my Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before and me. Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us did? It was not but Your trial by which You let go astray whom You will and You guide whom You will. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the Best of Forgivers.
61:14 O you who believe, be helpers of Allah, as said Jesus, son of Mary, to the disciples, "Who are my helpers for Allah?" The disciples said, "We are the helpers of Allah." Then a group of Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy and they became dominant.
(Noah was sent to his people (11:25), Jesus was sent to the Children of Israel (3:49), Salih was sent to Thamud (7:73), Lot was sent to his people (11:89), etc. And Muhammad was sent to all mankind (34:28), including Jews)(Allah knows best)
10:84 And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him, if you are Muslims."
("Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits (to God)". According to the definition, all Prophets were Muslims)(On the other hand, “Jew” is derived from the name “Judah”, which was the name of one of Jacob’s twelve sons. Judah was the ancestor of one of the tribes of Israel (tribe of Judah), which was named after him. The true religion is not named after a person. In the Qur’an, the word “Jew” (H-W-D) is used in the context of religion, not ethnicity or lineage, because it is mentioned together with other religious groups (Christian and Sabians (2:62)), so Jacob and the descendants were not Jews (2:140); but they were Muslims (aka submitted (to God)))(The Qur’an also uses the words “Children of Israel” (Bani Israel), which, in this case, establish their lineage)(See the link below “Were the Prophets Jews or Christians?”)(Allah knows best)
2:140 Or do you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the descendants were Jews or Christians?" Say, "Are you more knowing or is Allah?" And who is more unjust than one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
3:67 Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists.
5:111 And when I inspired to the disciples to believe in Me and in My Messenger they said, "We believe and bear witness that indeed we are Muslims. 5:112 When the disciples said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, Is your Lord able to send down to us a table spread from the heaven?" He said, "Fear Allah, if you are believers."
2:133 Or were you witnesses when death came to Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac – One God. And we are Muslims/submissive to Him."
12:90 They said, "Are you indeed Joseph?" He said, "I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Indeed, Allah has favored us. Indeed, he who fears Allah and is patient, then indeed, Allah does not let go waste the reward of the good-doers." 12:91 They said, "By Allah, certainly Allah has preferred you over us, and indeed, we have been sinners."
(According to Verses 12:90-91, God preferred / favored Joseph and his brother (Benjamin?), over their other brothers. So, among the Children of Israel, the good-doers were favored over the wrongdoers)(Psalms confirm that there is a distinction between good-doers and wrongdoers; Psalms 37:27-28 say, “Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish.”)(Allah knows best)
37:113 And We blessed him and Isaac. And (some) among their offspring are good-doers and (some) are clearly unjust to himself.
5:110 When Allah said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My Favor upon you and upon your mother when I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and (in) maturity. And when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you make from clay like the shape of the bird by My permission, then you breath into it, and it becomes a bird by My permission; and you heal those born blind and the leper by My permission; and when you bring forth the dead by My permission. And when I restrained the Children of Israel from you when you came to them with the clear proofs, then those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but clear magic."
5:41 O Messenger, let not grieve you those who hasten into disbelief of those who said, "We believe" with their mouths, and their hearts believe not, and from those who are Jews. They are listeners of falsehood, (and) listeners for other people (who have) not come to you. They distort the words from their context, saying, "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." And for whom Allah intends his trial, then never will you have power (to do) anything for him against Allah. Those are the ones (for whom) Allah will never intend to purify their hearts. For them in the world is disgrace and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.
62:6 Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah , excluding the people, then wish for death, if you are truthful."
12:38 And I follow the religion of my forefathers, Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob. It was not for us to associate anything with Allah. That is from the Grace of Allah upon us, and upon the mankind, but most of the men are not grateful.
(Muslims follow the religion of Abraham, but Jews deviated from it. See the link below “How the Qur’an corrects Judaism?”)(Allah knows best)
2:135 And they said, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided." Say, "Nay, the religion of Abraham, the upright; and he was not of those who associated partners."
98:6 Indeed, those who disbelieve, from (the) People (of) the Book and the polytheists, (will be) in (the) Fire (of) Hell abiding eternally therein. Those [they] (are the) worst (of) [the] creatures. 98:7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, those [they] (are the) best (of) [the] creatures.
