Will Islam conquer the world?

Will Islam conquer the world?

110:1 When the Help of Allah and the Victory comes, 110:2 And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes. 110:3 Then glorify your Lord with the praises and ask His forgiveness. Indeed, He is Oft-Returning.

(Muslims are not commanded to conquer the world in the Qur’an)(The Verse seems to tell a fact or observation, rather than compelling people into the religion)(In Verse 110:2, “you see” is masculine singular”, it might refer to Muhammad, who saw the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes. According to historical accounts, there were a few Muslims, and years later, still during the time of the Messenger, a very big part of the Arabian Peninsula had already converted to Islam)(Allah knows best)

58:20 Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, those (will be) among the most humiliated.

2:190 And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like the transgressors.

(Fighting is in the context of self-defense and against oppression. Non-Muslims began to attack and determined to drive out the Messenger (9:13), so the Messenger and those with him had to defend themselves)(Allah knows best)

17:76 And indeed, they were about (to) scare you from the land, that they evict you from it. But then, they (would) not have stayed after you, except (for) a little.

9:12 And if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, indeed, their oaths are nothing to them - so that they may cease. 9:13 Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to drive out the Messenger and they began (to attack) you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are believers.

(The purpose of fighting is that “they may cease” (9:12). So, the context is self-defense)(Allah knows best)

60:8 Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you in the religion and do not drive you out of your homes, that you deal kindly and justly with them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

4:90 Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty or those who come to you with hearts restraining them from fighting you or fighting their people. And if Allah had willed, surely He would have given them power over you, and they would surely have fought you. So if they withdraw from you and do not fight against you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a way against them.

4:91 You will find others wishing to be secure from you and to be secure from their people. Every time they are returned to the temptation, they are plunged into it. So if they do not withdraw from you and offer you peace and they restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them. And those - We made for you against them a clear authority.

(Self-defense)(Allah knows best)

2:256 There is no compulsion in the religion. Surely the right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in false deities and believes in Allah has grasped the firm handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

109:6 For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

17:107 Say, "Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given the knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, they fall on their faces in prostration."

42:15 So to that then invite, and stand firm as you are commanded and do not follow their desires, but say, "I believe in what Allah has sent down of the Book, and I am commanded to do justice between you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no argument between us and between you. Allah will assemble us, and to Him is the final return."

28:55 And when they hear vain talk, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds and for you are your deeds. Peace be on you; we do not seek the ignorant."

(If disbelievers do other than fighting, then they are not to be fought)(Allah knows best)

33:60 If the hypocrites and those in whose heart is a disease and those who spread rumors in the city do not cease, We will let you overpower them (lanugh’riyannaka), then they will not remain your neighbors therein except for a little,

(The root of “nugh’riya” (overpower) is “Gh-Ra-Waw”, and it means “to stir up, give rise, rouse, kindle, incite desire, excite, etc.”; so the sentence is interpreted in the sense of “provoking” them; so disbelievers might be provoked, so that disbelievers start fighting, because, previously, disbelievers were verbally attacking)(Allah knows best)

39:15 So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are those who (will) lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the clear loss."

50:45 We know best what they say, and you are not the one to compel them. But remind with the Qur’an whoever fears My threat.

10:99 And if your Lord had willed, those who are on the earth all of them would surely have believed. Then, will you compel mankind until they become believers? 10:100 And it is not for a soul to believe except by the permission of Allah. And He will place the wrath on those who do not use reason.

10:41 And if they deny you then say, "For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated from what I do, and I am disassociated from what you do."

(Another point is that “Islam” is an Arabic word meaning “Submission (to God)”. So, the tittle of this article could be translated as “Will “Submission (to God)” conquer the world?”. If there is no compulsion in the religion (2:256), and “for me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds” (10:41), and most of men are not grateful and do not know about the right religion (12:38, 12:40), then forcing people into the religion is not the aim. Actually, many non-Muslims want you to leave Islam, so they are hypocrites)(See the link below, “Response to Islam haters and their spreading of falsehood”)(Allah knows best)

81:27 It is not except a reminder to the worlds, 81:28 For whoever wills among you to take a straight way.

33:28 O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you desire the life of the world and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and release you with a good release.

51:53 Have they transmitted it to them? Nay, they are a transgressing people. 51:54 So turn away from them, for you are not to be blamed.

18:29 And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a Fire, its walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten brass, which scalds the faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.

9:33 He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, to manifest it (liyuz’hirahu) over all religions. Even if the polytheists dislike (it).

(The religion of truth is manifested/externalized over all religions. It does not imply compelling people)(Note: the root of “manifest” (yuz’hira) is “Za-ha-Ra” and it means “to appear, become distinct / clear / open / manifest, come out, ascend / mount, distinguish, be obvious, go forth, etc”. It also means “back” (as opposed to stomach), and also means “externalize” (as opposed to internalize, because the back is the opposite of the stomach))(Allah knows best)

48:27 Certainly, Allah has fulfilled His Messenger's vision in truth. You will surely enter Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, if Allah wills, secure, having your heads shaved and shortened, not fearing. But He knew what you did not know, and He made, besides that, a near victory. 48:28 He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion, the true that He may make it prevail (liyuz’hirahu) over all the religions. And Allah is sufficient as a Witness.

49:13 O mankind, indeed, We created you from a male and a female and We made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you near Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware.

64:2 He is the One Who created you, and among you is a disbeliever and among you is a believer. And Allah is All-Seer of what you do.

12:103 And most of the mankind will not be believers, even though you desire.

(Oppression is forbidden in Islam. And Verse 12:103 says that “most of the mankind will not be believers”. It is obvious that some non-Muslims invent falsehood about Islam, by telling that Muslims plan to conquer the world, while non-Muslims would do so if they could, so they are hypocrites and the transgressors. European Christians (and European Jews) occupied other people’s land: the Americas, South Africa, Siberia, Australia, Palestine, etc. And they also tried to conquer the whole world, for example, in the violent colonial period)(There is no freedom of religion in non-Muslim countries. See the link below “Is there freedom of religion in Christian countries?”)(Allah knows best)

11:118 And if your Lord had willed, surely He could have made mankind one community, but they will not cease to differ.

2:191 And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from wherever they drove you out, and oppression is worse than killing. And do not fight them near Al-Masjid Al-Haraam until they fight you there. Then if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the reward of the disbelievers. 2:192 Then if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 2:193 And fight against them until there is no oppression, and the religion becomes for Allah Then if they cease, then let there be no hostility except against the oppressors.

(Verse 2:193 is not about compulsion in religion. Compulsion in religion is forbidden in Islam (2:256, 50:45, 81:28, 33:28, 18:29, 10:99-100), but the Verse is in the context of Muslims being oppressed, so Muslims fight against oppression, until the religion becomes for Allah (2:193), so that Muslims can practice their religion, rather than Muslims becoming oppressors themselves (e.g. Muslims can freely go to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam (2:191)))(In addition, the purpose of fighting is that they may cease (2:193) so the context is also about self-defense (“if they fight you, then kill them” (2:191); “drive them out from wherever they drove you out” (2:191)))(Allah knows best)

54:43 Are your disbelievers better than those, or for you (is) an exemption in the Scriptures? 54:44 Or (do) they say, "We (are) an assembly helping (each other)?" 54:45 Soon (their) assembly will be defeated, and they will turn (their) backs. 54:46 Nay, the Hour is their promised time, and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter.

(Disbelievers are to be punished in the Hereafter)(Allah knows best)

3:55 When Allah said "O Jesus, indeed, I (will) take you and raise you to Myself, and purify you from those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve on the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me (is) your return and I will judge between you concerning that about which you were differing.

(This Verse speaks about the Day of Resurrection)(Allah knows best)
