Is there freedom of religion in Christian countries?

Is there freedom of religion in Christian countries?

2:120 And the Jews and the Christians will never be pleased with you until you follow their religion. Say, "Indeed, the Guidance of Allah is the Guidance." And if you follow their desires after what has come to you of the knowledge, you will have neither any protector from Allah nor any helper.

(There is not freedom of religion in non-Muslim countries, because they try to change people’s beliefs in any way. Some non-Muslims are using media against Islam; for example: tv, internet, newspaper, books, etc. They tell lies about Islam with the purpose of making Muslims leave Islam or trying to prevent people from entering Islam)(Allah knows best)

7:88 The chiefs (of) his people who were arrogant said, "O Shuaib, we will surely drive you out and those who (have) believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion." He said, "Even if we are (the) ones who hate (it)?

(According to the bible, Jews and Christians must kill the apostates (Deuteronomy 13:6-9, 17:3-5; 2 Chronicles 15:13, Matthew 15:3-4); on the other hand, there is freedom of religion in Islam. See the article below: “Is there freedom of religion in Islam?”)(Historically, Christians and Jews were denying the human right of believing in whatever you want, and even killed people for such a matter)(Allah knows best)

29:8 And We have enjoined upon man goodness to his parents, but if they both strive against you to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey both of them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.

(People have to be concerted that the Bible is very extreme, and some non-Muslims have extreme ideas because of their scripture. According to Deuteronomy 21:18-21, “If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.”)(According to the Qur’an you can disobey your parents (29:8), if you disagree)(See the link below “Is the Bible corrupted?”)(Allah knows best)

38:24 He said, "Certainly, he has wronged you by demanding your ewe to his ewes. And indeed, many of the partners certainly oppress some of them [on] another, except those who believe and do righteous deeds and they (are) few." And David became certain that We (had) tried him, and he asked forgiveness (of) his Lord and fell down bowing and turned in repentance.

(The believers do not oppress. “Oppression” means “prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or exercise of authority; the state of being subject to oppressive treatment; mental pressure or distress”. Then, there is no freedom of religion in Christian countries, because there is a social pressure to leave the religion, and they tell lies in order to oppress Muslims, trying to change people’s religion with falsehood, slander, defamation, inventing pejorative terms using words in the Qur’an (islamist, jihadist), etc; while, for example, “Islam” means “Submission (to God)”, that’s the only religion accepted by God. And “jihad” means “strive”, which could be done by anyone, Muslim or non-Muslim, but Muslims strive for righteousness, while many non-Muslims strive for evil matters)(Allah knows best)

9:61 And among them are those who hurt the Prophet and say, "He is an ear." Say, "An ear of goodness for you that believes in Allah and believes the believers and is a mercy to those who believe among you." And those who hurt the Messenger of Allah - for them is a painful punishment.

9:65 And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His Verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?"

60:2 If they gain dominance over you, they would be you enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they desire that you would disbelieve.

3:120 If a good touches you, it grieves them; and if misfortune strikes you, they rejoice at it. And if you are patient and fear, their plot will not harm you in anything. Indeed, Allah, of what they do is All-Encompassing.

9:29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah and in the Last Day, and they do not make unlawful what Allah has made unlawful and His Messenger, and they do not acknowledge the religion of the truth, from those who were given the Scripture, until they pay the jizyah willingly, while they are subdued.

(The context of Chapter 9 is self-defense (9:8-10, 9:12-13, 9:40, 9:61, 9:64-66, 9:107). Verse 9:29 indicates who are the ones to be fought, in a context of war, because they began to attack (9:13). The Verse does not say that they are to be fought until they convert to Islam, but says “until they pay the jizyah willingly”. And there is no compulsion in that payment, because the Verse says that the payment is done willingly. It is said that the payment is in exchange of security. Non-Muslims who make objections against this Verse are hypocrites, because Muslims do not pay willingly in non-Muslim countries but they are forced to pay taxes)(Allah knows best)

4:89 They wish if you disbelieve as they disbelieved and you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate in the way of Allah. But if they turn back, seize them and kill them wherever you find them. And do not take from among them any ally or helper,

(According to the Qur’an, you cannot compel people in the religion. In regard to Judaism, according to the article “forced conversion”, “Forced conversions occurred under the Hasmonean Kingdom. The Idumeans were forced to convert to Judaism, by threat of exile or death”. According to Harold W. Attridge, “forced conversion was a national policy, is clear from the fact that Alexander Jannaeus demolished the city of Pella in Moab, ‘because the inhabitants would not agree to adopt the national custom of the Jews.’”. According to William Horbury, “The evidence is best explained by postulating that an existing small Jewish population in Lower Galilee was massively expanded by the forced conversion in c.104 BC of their Gentile neighbors in the north.”. “In 2009 the BBC defended a claim that in AD 524 the Yemeni Jewish Himyar tribe, led by King Yusuf Dhu Nuwas, had offered Christian residents of a village in what is now Saudi Arabia the choice between conversion to Judaism or death, and that 20,000 Christians had then been massacred”. “Inscriptions documented by Yousef himself show the great pride he expressed after massacring more than 22,000 Christians in Zafar and Najran”, etc.)(In regard to Christianity, according to that article, “Christian heretics had been persecuted; beginning in the late 4th century, the ancient pagan religions were also actively suppressed”, “forced conversions of Jews were carried out with the support of rulers during late antiquity and the early middle ages in Gaul, the Iberian peninsula and in the Byzantine empire”, “forced conversion that occurred after the seventh century generally took place during riots and massacres carried out by mobs and clergy without support of the rulers”, “tactics of crusades included the killing of hostages, massacre, and the devastation of the lands of tribes that had not yet submitted (to Christianity)”, “the so-called “new Christians” were those inhabitants (Sephardic Jews or Mudejar Muslims) who were baptized under coercion and in the face of execution, becoming forced converts from Islam or from Judaism”, and so on (forced conversion in colonial Americas, Eastern Europe, India, etc.))(In regard to atheism, “under the doctrine of state atheism in the Soviet Union, there was a “government-sponsored program of forced conversion to atheism” conducted by Communists, “the Russian Orthodox church, for centuries the strongest of all Orthodox churches, was violently suppressed”, “as of November 2018, in present-day China, the government has detained many people in internment camps, “where Uighur Muslims are remade into atheist Chinese subjects”. For children forcibly taken away from their parents, the Chinese government has established “orphanages” with the aim of “converting future generations of Uighur Muslim children into loyal subjects who embrace atheism”, and so on)(Allah knows best)

14:13 And those who disbelieved said to their Messengers, Surely we will drive you out of our land, or surely you should return to our religion." So their Lord inspired them, "We will surely destroy the wrongdoers.

(According to the Qur’an, you cannot compel people in the religion. Those who drive you out of your land, or force you into their religion, they are wrongdoers (14:13))(Allah knows best)

2:217 They ask you about fighting in the sacred month. Say, "Fighting therein is a great (sin); but hindering from the way of Allah, and disbelief in Him and (preventing access to) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, and driving out its people from it is greater (sin) near Allah. And oppression is greater than killing." And they will not cease to fight with you until they turn you away from your religion, if they are able. And whoever among you turns away from his religion, then dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds became worthless in the world and the Hereafter. And those are the companions of the Fire, they (will) abide in it forever.

18:20 "Indeed, if they come to know about you, they will stone you or return you to their religion. And then never will you succeed - ever."

(Historically, Christians have not showed tolerance to other religions or even to other Christian sects, while there is freedom of religion in Islam)(Allah knows best)

22:41 Those who, if We establish them in the land, they establish the prayer and give zakah and they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong. And for Allah is the end of the matters.

(It is objected that in some Muslim countries there is no religious tolerance, because people have to follow performance standards, or rules of behavior, for example, in the street, or even when living in a Muslim family’s home. “Performance standards” is other than “compulsion in religion”, so everyone does what they want at their own home. Some non-Muslims are hypocrites because they do exactly the same: in Christian countries, “everything” is not allowed in the street, but they also have rules according to their ideas, and what they teach to their children is also according to their ideas. Muslims have the duty (and also towards their children) of enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong, as part of someone’s learning, regardless of whether they would remain believers or not. While “compelling” is a different matter. This interpretation is confirmed by the Verses themselves, which use different words: the root of “compel” is “Jiim-Ba-Ra”, and it means “compel, constrain, incite, self-magnification, pride, insolence, tyrannical, etc.”; while the root of “enjoin” is “Alif-Meem-Ra”, and it means “command / order / enjoin, authority / power / dominion, counselled / advised / consulted, etc.”; so according to some of the meanings of “Alif-Meem-Ra”, “enjoining” can be in the sense of “advising” (informing / notifying / offering guidance / instructing, etc), rather than being a tyrant)(Allah knows best)

7:199 Hold (to) forgiveness, and enjoin the good, and turn away from the ignorant.

(Verse 7:199 confirms that, in the context of “enjoining the good”, Muslims are to “turn away from the ignorant”, so you are not forcing people into the religion)(Allah knows best)

9:67 The hypocrite men and the hypocrite women are of one another. They enjoin the wrong and forbid what is right, and they close their hands. They forget Allah, so He has forgotten them. Indeed, the hypocrites, they are the defiantly disobedient.

(The hypocrites do the same, but the other way round, they enjoin the wrong and forbid what is right (9:67))(Some Christians and Jews have strategies against Islam, trying to make people leave the religion, or trying to prevent new conversions to Islam, by inventing a falsehood about Islam (In books, movies, internet, tv, pejorative use of Arabic words, etc). Their defamation is called “freedom of speech” by themselves, as a cover, but inventing a falsehood is against freedom of religion, and it can also go against themselves. “Freedom of speech” is controversial; in some cases, it should be called by its real name: “defamation, slander, etc.”. See the article below, “Strategies against Islam. Is it something new?”)(Allah knows best)

22:40 Those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some of them by others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

(Some non-Muslims make difficult building Mosques. On the other hand, it is objected that Saudi Arabia does not allow building churches. But that’s not a matter about Islam, but about Saudi Arabia policies, because building a church is not forbidden in the Qur’an)(The Bible forbids the “images” which are present in catholic churches, so according to their Scripture, Christian themselves should not build such a thing. In regard to banning the Bible, it contains: honor killing, a raped girl is forced to marry her rapist, stoning, women is forced to have relations with her husband’s brother; there is killing of women, children, babies, cattle (1 Samuel 15:3), and also there is killing of old men, women, mothers and children in Ezekiel 9:5-6; there is self-mutilation, there is incest, there is cannibalism, there is exclusion of disabled people, there is oppression of women, etc. People should not read it in order to follow it. On the other hand, there is self-defense in the Qur’an. Self-defense is not the origin / root / source of violence. And there is nothing bad or evil in the Qur’an, so they have no reasons to ban it at all)(See the link below ”Which religion is moderate and which is extreme? Who are the radicals? Judaism vs. Christianity vs. Islam vs. atheism”)(Allah knows best)

61:8 They intend to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His Light although the disbelievers dislike it.

4:46 Among the Jews are those who distort words from their places and they say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard” and "Raina", twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said, "We hear and obey" and "Hear and look at us”, it would surely have been better for them and more suitable. [And] but Allah cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

9:32 They want to extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His Light, even if the disbelievers dislike (it).

4:167 Indeed, those who disbelieve and hinder from the way of Allah, surely they have strayed, straying far away.

3:99 Say, "O People of the Book, why do you hinder those who believe from the way of Allah, seeking to make it (seem) crooked, while you are witnesses? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

10:83 But none believed Moses, except (the) offspring among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs, lest they (would) persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh (was) a tyrant in the earth, and indeed, he (was) of the ones who commit excesses.

7:86 And (do) not sit on every path threatening and hindering (people) from (the) way (of) Allah, (those) who believe in Him, and seeking (to make) it crooked. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was (the) end (of) the corrupters.

39:64 Say, "Is (it) other than Allah (that) you order me (to) worship, O ignorant ones?"
