Was Mary a virgin, and how important is it?

Was Mary a virgin, and how important is it?

19:19 He said, "I am only a Messenger from your Lord, that I may bestow on you a pure son." 19:20 She said, "How can I have a son when no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?" 19:21 He said, "Thus; your Lord said, 'It is easy for Me, and so that We will make him a sign for mankind and a Mercy from Us. And it is a matter decreed.'"

21:91 And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our Spirit (ruhina), and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.

(The word “ruhi”, interpreted by the translator as “Spirit”, also means “inspiration”)(Jesus is not God or the son of God, but was created inside Mary’s womb, from God’s inspiration)(Allah knows best)

66:12 And Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity, so We blew into it of Our Spirit, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His Books and was of the devoutly obedient.

3:59 Indeed, the likeness of Jesus with Allah is like the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.

(The miraculous birth of Jesus does not make him a deity. Adam, the first human, was created likewise)(Allah knows best)

19:35 It is not for Allah to take a son. Glory be to Him, when He decrees a matter, then He only says to it, "Be" and it is.

(God did not take a son, and Jesus had no father. If Jesus had had a father, Mary would have not been virgin. So, the virginity of Mary actually opposes the Christian belief that Jesus was the son of god)(Allah knows best)

4:156 And for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander.

112:1 Say, "He is Allah, the One. 112:2 Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute. 112:3 He neither begets nor is begotten. 112:4 And nor is there to Him any equivalent."

4:171 O People of the Book, do not commit excess in your religion and do not say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Glory be to Him, that He (should) have a son for Him. To Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

9:30 And the Jews said, "Uzair is son of Allah." And the Christians said, "Messiah is son of Allah." That is their saying with their mouths, they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before. (May) Allah destroy them. How deluded are they.

(According to Verse 9:30, the concept “son of God” is not from God, but from those who disbelieved before)(Allah knows best)

19:88 And they say, "The Most Gracious has taken a son." 19:89 Verily, you have put forth an atrocious thing. 19:90 The heavens are almost torn therefrom, and the earth splits asunder and the mountains collapse in devastation. 19:91 That they invoke to the Most Gracious a son. 19:92 And it is not appropriate for the Most Gracious that He should take a son. 19:93 There is none in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Most Gracious as a slave.

17:111 And say, "All Praise is for Allah, the One Who has not taken a son and Who has no partner in the dominion nor any protector out of weakness. And magnify Him with all magnificence."

23:91 Allah has not taken any son, nor is there any god with Him. Then surely each god would have taken away what he created, and surely some of them would have overpowered others. Glory be to Allah above what they attribute.

5:18 And the Jews and the Christians said "We are the children of Allah and His beloved." Say, "Then why does He punish you for your sins?" Nay, you are human beings from among those He created. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And for Allah is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the final return.

(God creates, He does not beget His creation. So, mankind is not children of God, but God’s creation)(Allah knows best)

4:48 Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives other than that for whom He wills. And whoever associates partners with Allah, then has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.

5:72 They certainly disbelieve who say, "Indeed Allah - He is the Messiah, the son of Mary." While the Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah, then surely Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his abode will be the Fire. And there will be no helpers for the wrongdoers.
