19:32 And dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me insolent, unblessed. … 19:34 That was Jesus, the son of Mary, a statement of truth about which they dispute.

17:23 And your Lord has decreed that you do not worship except Him Alone, and be good to parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, then do not say to both of them a word of disrespect and do not repel them, but speak to them a noble word.

(According to the Gospel of Luke, in Luke 2:42, when Jesus was twelve years old, Mary was looking for him. After three days she found him in the temple courts (Luke 2:46). She asked, “why have you treated us like this?” (Luke 2:48), and she received an insolent answer and an insolent question: “why were you searching for me? he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2:49). Notice that the child used the word “father” instead of “God.” So, in fact, “Jesus the Messiah” was not disrespectful to his mother, but “Jesus Barabbas” was. Christians (and, initially, Jews) mixed up stories of two different characters (Jesus Barabbas vs. Jesus the Messiah) because, on one hand, the Aramaic name “Barabbas” literally means “son of the father” (referring to God). On the other hand, if you check the oldest manuscripts of Matthew 27:16-17, they have the name “Jesus Barabbas,” not just “Barabbas” (See the translations that are more faithful to those manuscripts, e.g., the “New International Version,” the “contemporary English Version,” the “Good News Translation,” or the “Net Bible”). According to the Bible, Pilate, the governor of Judea, asked the crowd which prisoner was to be released: “Jesus, son of the father” (aka Jesus Barabbas), or “Jesus who is called the Messiah” (Matthew 27:17). So, the Gospel explicitly says that there were two characters bearing the same name (Jesus). Christians mixed up the stories of two different characters: Jesus Barabbas blasphemed by bearing such a name, “the son of father” (referring to God), while Jesus the Messiah never said that he was the son of God, because the words “Barabbas / son of the father” and “Messiah” (son of Mary) are used to distinguish one Jesus from the other in Matthew 27:17. In conclusion, in the Bible Verse where “Jesus” is disrespectful to his mother (Luke 2:49), he used the word “father” to refer to God; thus, Jesus Barabbas (aka “Jesus, son of the father”) is the one who was disrespectful, not Jesus the Messiah. The Qur’an confirms that the Messiah was not insolent: “dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me insolent, unblessed” (19:32)) (Note: “Jesus” was a common name at that time (Yeshua)) (Allah knows best)

46:15 And We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship. And the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months until, when he reaches his maturity and reaches forty years, he says, "My Lord, grant me the power that I may be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and that I may do righteous (deeds) which please You and make for me among my offspring righteous, indeed, I turn to You and indeed, I am of those who submit."

(Certain Jews associated “Jesus the Messiah” with blasphemers like “Jesus Barabbas,” and this was a common practice among them, also seen in the Talmud, not just in the Gospel. They did this when Christianity became a threat in order to prove that Jesus the Messiah was not the Messiah (as those who claim divinity could not be the Messiah (Deuteronomy 13)). But it is clear that this is a corruption of the scriptures, because Matthew 27:17 distinguishes between the two Jesuses, and because, in the case of the Talmud, those Jewish corrupters associated Jesus the Messiah with different blasphemers from different periods called “Jesus,” (such as during the reign of Alexander Jannaeus or Joshua ben Perachiah). Thus, it is clear that none of these blasphemers are Jesus the Messiah (aka Jesus of Nazareth)) (Allah knows best)
