Does Allah pray?

Does Allah pray?

2:156 Those who, when misfortune strikes them, they say, "Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return." 2:157 Those, on them (alayhim) (are) blessings (salawatun) from their Lord and Mercy. And they are the guided ones.

(According to the context, “blessings/prayers from their Lord and Mercy” is a response to what they say in Verse 2:156. It is confirmed by the sentence itself: “from their Lord”, “on them”, “and Mercy”; so they receive it from God)(“Prayer” and “Mercy” is not on God, but on people, from God. Notice that the sentence says “on them are prayer/blessings”, the sentence does not say that God prayed “to” someone, but people are the ones who pray “to / li” God (108:2))(When the term “’alayhim” (on them) comes before “salawat” (blessing/prayer), it means that the run towards God was brought on them and that means it became easier for them to perform the task and they were aided in it” (source: Hussein’s blog “my personal Qur’an”))(People receive “prayer and Mercy” under a condition (2:156), so there is a “response” (2:157). Mankind is in need of God, while God is Free of need (35:15))(Some Christians are hypocrites because they try to prove Islam wrong by falsely saying about the Qur’an that God prays to someone, while Christians believe that Jesus is God, but Jesus used to pray (to God). So, they are the ones who say that “God prays to” and “God ask for mercy”)(The root of the word “prayer” is “S-L-W”,and it means “lower back of a human that is bending forward”, so a literal translation / interpretation is that “on” humans themselves is a “lower back that is bending forward”, from God, so it does not describe God, but describes that humans are aided in it)(A less literal dictionary says that the root of “salawatun” is “Sad-Lam-Waw”, and it means “prayer, supplication, blessing, follow closely, to remain attached, etc. (like when Muslims are praying in congregation)”)(Allah knows best)

3:132 And obey Allah and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy.

2:160 Except those who repent (tabu) and reform (themselves) and openly declare. Then from those, I will accept repentance (atubu), and I (am) the Acceptor of Repentance (l-tawabu), the Most Merciful.

(Verse 2:157 is similar to Verse 2:160, in which people repent (tabu) and so, then God will accept repentance (atubu)(2:160); so God doesn’t repent, but God “accepts repentance” (2:160). Similarly, God doesn’t pray, but He would accept someone’s prayer (14:40), as a response)(Allah knows best)

14:40 My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my offsprings. Our Lord, and accept my prayer.

25:77 Say, "My Lord will not care for you, if not for your supplication. But verily, you have denied, so soon will be the inevitable (punishment)."

35:15 O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah, He is Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

30:40 Allah is the One Who created you, then He provided for you, then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life. Is there any of your partners who does anything of that? Glory be to Him and exalted is He above what they associate.

28:88 And do not invoke with Allah another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything (will be) destroyed except His Face. His is the judgment, and to Him you will be returned.

60:12 O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you (yubayi’naka) [on] that they will not associate anything with Allah, and not/(nor) will they steal, and not/(nor) will they commit adultery, and not/(nor) will they kill their children, and not/(nor will) they bring (forth) slander they invent [it] between their hands and their feet, and not/(nor) will they disobey you in (the/what is) right, then accept their pledge (fabayi’hunna) and ask forgiveness for them (from) Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(Similarly, Verse 60:12 speaks about “pledging”. They are pledging to the Prophet, then the Prophet would “pledge (to) them” (literal translation), in exchange or response. But, the Verse does not imply that the Prophet is pledging to them that he will not disobey them (as they pledged to him), and so on, but the sentence is about accepting their pledge, and this is how to say it in Arabic)(Allah knows best)
