Who takes the souls at death?

Who takes the souls at death?

32:10 And they say, "Is (it that) when we are lost in the earth, will we certainly be in a new creation?" Nay, they (are) disbelievers in (the) meeting (of) their Lord. 32:11 Say, "The Angel of death who has been put in charge of you will take your soul. Then to your Lord you will be returned."

(This Verse specifies “the Angel of death who has been put in charge of you”, and not “the Angel of death who has not been put in charge”, so this specification could imply that there are more than one Angel of death, but only the one who has been put in charge will take your soul. Another point is that “the Angel of death” is a generic noun; generic nouns are nouns that refer to all members of a class or group; and generic nouns can be singular or plural. The generic noun is used in Arabic language, and other languages, for example, it is also used in the English language)(Allah knows best)

47:27 Then how, when The Angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?

(“Angels” are assigned to “them” (both in plural). So, each person has an Angel of death assigned)(Allah knows best)

39:42 Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those who do not die in their sleep. Then He keeps those for whom He has decreed death, and sends the others for a specified term. Indeed, in that surely are signs for a people who ponder.

(Angels take in death by the Command of Allah, they do not decide it on their own, but according to God’s will)(Allah knows best)

16:2 He sends down the Angels with the inspiration of His Command, upon whom He wills of His slaves, that "Warn that there is no god except Me, so fear Me."

6:61 And He is the Subjugator over His slaves, and He sends over you guardians until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail.

10:3 Indeed, your Lord is Allah, the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then He established Himself on the Throne, disposing the affairs. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?

(They intercede after the permission of Allah)(Allah knows best)

2:255 Allah - there is no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and the guarding of both of them does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

37:164 "And (there is) not/(none) among us except/(but) for him/(he has) a known position. 37:165 And indeed, we [we] surely stand in rows. 37:166 And indeed, we [we] surely glorify (Allah)."

9:14 Fight them - Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them, and will heal the breasts of a people (who are) believers.

(They do according to God’s will)(Allah knows best)

8:17 And you did not kill them, but Allah killed them. And you threw not when you threw, but Allah threw and that He may test the believers with a good trial from Him. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
