Age of the universe in the Qur’an?

Age of the universe in the Qur’an?

22:47 And they ask you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His Promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.

(Paradise would be much bigger and much more massive than Earth (57:21, 3:133). The theory of general relativity says that time passes slower near an object more massive than Earth. So, time should pass in Paradise much slower than on Earth. Verse 22:47 is interpreted that one day in Paradise measures a 1000 years on Earth)(Allah knows best)

70:4 The Angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a Day, its measure is fifty thousand years. 70:5 So be patient, a good patience. 70:6 Indeed, they see it (as) far off. 70:7 But We see it near. 70:8 The Day when the sky will be like molten copper,

(Verse 70:4 refers to the Day of Judgment)(Allah knows best)

7:54 Indeed, your Lord is Allah, the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six epochs/days, then He established on the Throne. He covers the night with the day seeking it rapidly; and the sun, and the moon and the stars are subjected by His command. Unquestionably, for Him is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

(God’s Throne is creation because it can be borne, and Angels are around it (39:75, 40:7, 69:17). The Throne is mentioned in Verse 7:54, together with the creation of Earth in six days. If the Throne was to be set as the frame of reference, the Throne is wider than the Earth (2:255 “His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth”). So time should pass much slower than on Earth: Scientists say that our solar system is 4.57 billion years old. Earth started accreting (41:11) concurrently with the sun and our neighboring planets 4.57 bln years ago. However the universe is 13.7 bln years old. This places the age of Earth at approximately one third the age of the universe (4.57 bln/13.7 bln = 1/3). According to the Qur’an, the earth was created in two days/periods (out of 6)(Verse 41:9), while the heavens, earth (aka “matter”) and everything in between was created in 6 days (Verse 50:38)(2/6 = 1/3). So, the ratio in the Qur’an is the same as the ratio said by scientists. So, the age of the universe is presented as a ratio in the Qur’an (1/3))(Allah knows best)

41:9 Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in the One Who created the earth in two periods and you set up rivals with Him? That is the Lord of the worlds."

50:38 And certainly, We created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between both of them in six periods, and fatigue did not touch Us.

41:10 And He placed therein firmly-set mountains above it, and He blessed therein, and (wa) determined therein its sustenance in four equal periods, for those who ask. 41:11 Then (thumma) He directed towards the heaven while it was smoke, and He said to it and to the earth, "Come both of you willingly or unwillingly." They both said, "We come willingly." 41:12 Then He completed them as seven heavens in two periods and He revealed in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and to guard. That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knower.

(“Wa” (and) in Arabic does not specify order, while “thumma” (then) indicates order, so it is said that during the first four days/periods, when Earth was still smoke, after this, the Earth was ordered to form)(In astrophysics, accretion is the accumulation “coming” of particles into a massive object by gravitationally attracting more matter, typically gaseous matter (“smoke”), in an accretion disk. Galaxies, stars, and planets, are formed by accretion processes)(Allah knows best)

57:21 Race towards the forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Bounty of Allah, He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the Possessor of Great Bounty.

(According to the context of a Verse, “earth” may refer to “matter”, not to “planet earth”. The entire heaven contains matter, so heaven and earth’s “same” size is compared to the Garden (57:21))(Allah knows best)

3:133 And hasten towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden - its width (as) the heavens and the earth, prepared for the pious.

14:48 On the Day the earth will be changed by another earth, and the heavens, and they will come out before Allah , the One, the Irresistible.

40:7 Those who bear the Throne and those around it glorify the praises of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe, "Our Lord, You encompass all things (by Your) Mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way and save them from the punishment of the Hellfire.

39:75 And you will see the Angels surrounding [from] around the Throne, glorifying the praise of their Lord. And (it will) be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, "All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds."

69:17 And the Angels (will be) on its edges, and eight (of them) will bear the Throne of your Lord that Day, above them.
