How do you know the Qur'an is from God?

2:23 And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our slave, then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses other than Allah , if you are truthful.

28:49 Say, "Then bring a Book from Allah, which (is) a better guide than both of them, that I may follow it, if you are truthful." 28:50 But if they do not respond to you, then know that they only follow their desires. And who is more astray than (one) who follows his own desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah does not guide the people - the wrongdoers.

17:88 Say, "If the mankind and the jinn gathered to bring the like of this Qur’an, they could not bring the like of it, even if they assist one another."

13:43 And those who disbelieve say, "You are not a Messenger." Say, "Sufficient is Allah as a Witness between me and you, and whoever has knowledge of the Book."

4:82 Then do they not ponder on the Qur’an? If it had been from other than Allah, surely they would have found much contradiction in it.

4:166 But Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you. He has sent it down with His Knowledge and the Angels bear witness. And Allah is sufficient as a Witness.

26:192 And indeed, it is surely a Revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

10:37 And it was not that this Qur’an could be produced by other than Allah, but (it is) a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of the Book, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.

(Science and mathematics confirm that the Qur’an is from God. Regarding mathematics, some non-Muslims incorrectly claim that mathematical miracles can be found in the Bible or “any text” (such as War and Peace or Moby Dick), but this is not true. The mathematical miracles in the Qur’an are indeed miracles. On the other hand, the so-called “mathematics” found in those other books are, in fact, ridiculous, relying on arbitrary patterns (e.g., random words on random pages) and cannot be compared to the Qur’an at all.) 36:69 And We have not taught him poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a Reminder and a clear Qur’an,

25:5 And they say, "Tales of the former people which he has had written down, and they are dictated to him morning and evening." 25:6 Say, "He has sent it down, the One Who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

29:47 And thus We have revealed to you the Book. So those to whom We gave the Book believe in it. And among these are some who believe in it. And none reject Our Verses except the disbelievers. 29:48 And you (did) not recite before it, any Book, and not/(nor) (did) you write it with your right hand, in that case the falsifiers (would) have surely doubted. 29:49 Nay, it is clear Verses within the breasts of those who are given knowledge. And none reject Our Verses except the wrongdoers.

46:7 And when Our clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve say about the truth when it comes to them, "This is clear magic."

3:61 Then whoever argues with you concerning it after what came to you of the knowledge - then say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then let us humbly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on the liars.

52:33 Or do they say, "He has made it up" Nay, they do not believe. 52:34 Then let them bring a statement like it, if they are truthful.

(The sentence “he has made it up” is refuted, because the critics themselves cannot make up a statement like it. The reason they say “he has made it up” is because they simply “do not believe”, implying a disease in their hearts/minds (9:125), evil motives (4:38, 7:27), being liars (16:105), etc.) (Allah knows best)

54:17 And certainly We have made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will receive admonition?

(The Qur’an is the most memorized and fully memorized book in the world, being the only book in human history-ancient or modern-memorized both in part by billions, and cover-to-cover, word-for-word in its original language by millions of adults and children globally.) (Allah knows best)

12:111 Verily, in their stories is a lesson for men of understanding. It is not an invented narration, but a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of all things, and a guidance and mercy for a people who believe.

41:43 Nothing is said to you except what was said to the Messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is Possessor of forgiveness, and Possessor of painful penalty.

2:41 And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is with you, and be not the first disbeliever of it. And do not exchange My Signs for a small price, and fear Me (and Me) Alone.

11:13 Or they say, "He has fabricated it." Say, "Then bring ten Surahs (chapters) like it that have been fabricated, and call whoever you can besides Allah if you are truthful." 11:14 Then if they do not respond to you, then know that it was sent down with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god except Him. Then, would you be Muslims?

10:15 And when Our Verses are recited to them as clear proofs, those who do not hope for the meeting with Us said, "Bring us a Qur’an other than this or change it." Say, "It is not for me to change it on my own accord. I follow not except what is revealed to me. Indeed, If I were to disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a Great Day." 10:16 Say, "If Allah (had) willed, I (would) not have recited it to you, and He (would) have not made it known to you. Verily, I have stayed among you a lifetime before it. Then will you not use reason?"

(Verse 10:16 says "If Allah (had) willed, I (would) not have recited it to you, and He (would) have not made it known to you. Verily, I have stayed among you a lifetime before it. Then will you not use reason?") (This Verse provides a psychological argument: Prophet Muhammad lived among his people for 40 years before revelation as a trusted man ("Al-Amin") who showed no poetic or political ambitions. Sudden deception at age 40 contradicts basic human psychology.) (Allah knows best)
