When Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power) is?
97:1 Indeed, We revealed it in the Night of Power (laylati l-qadri). 97:2 And what can make you know what the Night of Power (laylatu l-qadri) is? 97:3 The Night of Power (laylatu l-qadri) is better than a thousand months. 97:4 Therein descend the Angels and the Spirit, by the permission of their Lord, for every affair, 97:5 Peace it (hiya) is until the emergence of dawn.
(According to ibn Abbas, the cousin of Muhammad, “Laylatul Qadr” (“Night (of) Power”) is on the 27th Night of Ramadan. His cousin said so because he counted the number of words in Surah 97 (Surah Al-Qadr); this Surah/Chapter’s complete theme is Laylatul Qadr; so there are 5 words in the first Ayah/Verse; there are 5 more words in the second Ayah; and then 6 words in the third Ayah; then 9 words in the fourth Ayah; and 5 words in the fifth Ayah; so exactly 30 words are there in Chapter 97; these 30 words refer to the 30 days of Ramadan; the 27th word in this Surah is “hiya” (“it”); and “it” refers to “Laylatul Qadr”)(According to the Prophet’s cousin, counting the number of letters in the phrase “Laylatul Qadr”, the word “Laylah” is 4 letters in Arabic, and “Al Qadr” is 5 letters in Arabic, so there are a total of 9 letters in the phrase “Laylatul Qadr”, and this phrase “Laylatul Qadr” is repeated thrice in this Surah, it makes up 9 x 3 = 27, so a total of 27 letters / alphabets are there which refer to Laylatul Qadr in this Surah)(Source: Med Sah’s youtube channel. And the information is also verified by myself)(Allah knows best)
