Can humans live for a thousand years?

29:14 And verily, We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years, save fifty years, then the flood seized them, while they were wrongdoers.

45:24 And they say, "There is nothing but our worldly life, we die and we live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have no knowledge of that; they only guess.

(“Time”, “chaos” or “nature” are not able to cause death, but God causes it (23:80, 2:258, 7:158). So, death is decreed for every human at its appointed time. Mankind, time, chaos or nature did not choose how long a human can live. The One Who makes mankind die at certain age is Able to make exceptions, and make some people live for a thousand years)(Allah knows best)

28:45 But We produced generations and prolonged the life for them. And you were not a dweller among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our Verses, but We were the Senders. 28:46 And you were not at the side of the Tur when We called. But (as) a mercy from your Lord so that you warn a people to whom no warner (had) come before you so that they may remember.

19:9 He said, "Thus, your Lord said, 'It is easy for Me, and certainly I have created you before, while you were nothing.'"

(The One Who created you while you were nothing, is Able to make you live for a thousand years)(Allah knows best)

3:2 Allah - there is no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists.

2:258 Did you not see the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord, because Allah gave him the kingdom? When Abraham said, "My Lord is the One Who grants life and causes death." He said, "I give life and cause death." Abraham said, "[Then] indeed Allah brings up the sun from the east, so you bring it from the west." So the one who disbelieved became dumbfounded, and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

56:64 Is it you who cause it to grow or are We the grower?

75:39 Then made of it two kinds, the male and the female. 75:40 Is not [that] Able to give life to the dead?

76:1 Has there come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing mentioned?

28:68 And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. They do not have the choice. Glory be to Allah and High is He above what they associate.

(God chooses how long people live, but people, time or nature or anything created have no choice. The One Who chooses it can make it shorter or longer)(Disbelievers are amazed about humans living for a thousand years, but it is as surprising or easy as reaching, for example, 30 years old, but God made more common to reach 30 years old, and less common to reach thousand years. Everything was created while everything was “nothing” before. The disbelievers take it as an excuse in order to disbelieve in the Scripture, while believers believe that God is All-Powerful over all things (57:2). God is the One Who created human beings, so He is Able to do that. Reaching, for example, 30 years old was something decided, so it is as surprising or easy as reaching any other age. According to Verse 5:48, God tests people in what He has given. In this case, you must believe that God is really All-Powerful over His creation, and do not think that it is not possible to prolong human life by the One Who created humans)(Allah knows best)

2:259 Or like the one who passed by a township, and it (had) overturned on its roofs. He said, "How (will) Allah bring this to life after its death?" Then he was made to die (by) Allah for one hundred years, then He raised him. He said, "How long (have) you remained?" He said, "I remained for a day or part of a day." He said, "Nay, you (have) remained for one hundred years. Then look at your food and your drink, (they had) not changed with time, and look at your donkey, and We will make you a sign for the people. And look at the bones, how We raise them, then We cover them with flesh." Then when (it) became clear to him, he said, "I know that Allah is All-Powerful over everything."

This list mentions a flood and gives the length of the reigns of kings before and after a flood.”… “The precipitous plunge in life spans after the Flood suggests that something changed at the time of the Flood, or shortly thereafter, that was responsible for this decline”… “The fossil record reveals that prior to the Flood, most of the earth appears to have had a tropical type of environment. Following the Flood, there was clearly an environmental change resulting in an ice age that covered nearly 30 percent of the earth with ice. This, together with other changes following the Flood, could have adversely affected life spans”, etc.)(Allah knows best)

2:26 Indeed, Allah is not ashamed to set forth an example even of a mosquito and something above it. Then as for those who believed, they will know that it is the truth from their Lord. And those who disbelieved will say, “what did Allah intend by this example? He lets go astray many by it and He guides many by it. And He does not let go astray by it except the defiantly disobedient.

9:124 And whenever a Surah (Chapter) is revealed, among them are some who say, "Which of you has increased in faith by it?" As for those who believe, then it has increased them in faith and they rejoice. 9:125 But as for those in whose hearts is a disease, it increases them in evil to their evil. And they die while they are disbelievers.

63:11 But Allah will never delay a soul when its term has come. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

40:68 He is the One Who gives life and causes death. And when He decrees a matter, then He only says to it, "Be," and it is.

35:11 And Allah created you from dust, then from a drop; then He made you pairs. And no female conceives or gives birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted life nor is his life lessened but is in a Register. Indeed, that is easy for Allah.

7:158 Say, "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, to Whom is the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no god except Him, He gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in Allah and His Words, and follow him so that you may be guided."

6:37 And they said, "Why (is) not a Sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah (is) Able to send down a Sign, but most of them (do) not know."
