Is jewellery okay?

Is jewellery okay?

7:31 O Children of Adam, take your adornment (zinatakum) at every masjid, and eat and drink, but do not be extravagant. Indeed, He does not love the extravagant ones.

(The root of “zinata (adornment)” is “Zay-Ya-Nun”, and it means “to adorn, adorned, ornamented, decorated, beautified, etc.”)(Allah knows best)

16:14 And He is the One Who subjected the sea for you to eat fresh meat from it and that you bring forth from it ornaments (hil’yatan) that you wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be grateful.

(The root of “hil’yatan” (ornaments) is “Ha-Lam-Ya”, and it means “to make/acquire/give ornaments, adorn with ornaments”)(Allah knows best)

28:76 Indeed, Qarun was from the people of Moses, but he oppressed them. And We gave him treasures (l-kunuzi) which indeed the keys of it would burden a company (of men) possessors of great strength. When his people said to him, "Do not exult. Indeed, Allah does not love the exultant.

(The root of “l-kunuzi” (treasures) is “Kaf-Nun-Zay”, and it means “to collect and store up, treasure, bury in the ground a treasure”)(According to Verses 7:31 and 16:14, adornments and ornaments are allowed. Some non-Muslims wrongly say that the adornment (jewellery) is forbidden in Verse 28:76, but Verse 28:76 uses a different word: “l-kunuzi” which does not specifically refer to jewellery, but about something collected, hoarded, stored or treasured; so, the treasures are wrong in the sense of hoarding it and not to spend it in the way of Allah (9:34), but it is not wrong in the sense of taking your adornment at every masjid (7:31), or wearing ornaments (16:14), because it does not imply hoarding it)(Allah knows best)

28:79 So he went forth to his people in his adornment (zinatihi). Those who desire the life of the world said, "O, would that for us the like of what has been given to Qarun. Indeed, he is the owner of great fortune." 28:80 But those who were given the knowledge said, "Woe to you, the reward of Allah is better for (he) who believes and does righteous (deeds). And it is not granted except to the patient ones."

9:34 O you who believe, indeed, many of the rabbis and the monks surely eat the wealth of the people in falsehood, and hinder from the way of Allah. And those who hoard the gold and silver, and do not spend it in the way of Allah, give them tidings of a painful punishment.
