Contrast words in the Qur’an

Contrast words in the Qur’an

22:11 And among mankind is (he) who worships Allah on an edge. And if good befalls him, he is content with it, and if a trial befalls him, he turns on his face. He has lost the world and the Hereafter. That is the clear loss.

(In regard to “world”, the nominal word “dun’ya” occurs 115 times in the Qur’an, as an adjective or noun, but in Verse 8:42, that word is in the context of “on the near (l-dun’ya) side of the valley”; and in Verse 67:5, it is in the context of “the nearest (l-dun’ya) heaven”, so “world” (referring to “this world”) only occurs 113 times)(On the other hand, in regard to “Hereafter”, the nominal “akhir” occurs 155 times in the Qur’an, as an adjective, noun and time adverb; but it occurs 113 times referring to “Hereafter”, because “akhir” occurs one time as “and last of us” in Verse 5:114; and it is 26 times as “Last Day” in Verses 9:18, 9:19, 9:29, 9:44, 9:45, 9:99, 29:36, 33:21, 58:22, 2:8, 2:62, 2:126, 2:177, 2:228, 2:232, 2:264, 3:114, 4:38, 4:39, 4:59, 4:136, 4:162, 5:69, 24:2, 60:6, 65:2; and 5 times as “later generations” in Verses 26:84, 37:78, 37:108, 37:119, 37:129; and 4 times as “later peoples” in Verses 43:56, 56:14, 56:40, 56:49; and 1 time as “later ones” in Verse 77:17; and 1 time as “the last of their call” in Verse 10:10; and 1 time as “latest religion” in Verse 38:7; and 1 time as “He is the First and the Last” in Verse 57:3; and 1 time as “for the last (transgression)” in Verse 79:25; and 1 time as “its end” in Verse 3:72)(So, 155 – 42 = 113 times)(The conclusion is that “world” occurs 113 times and “Hereafter” occurs 113 times too)(Note: Verse 17:7 has been included in those 113 times; it says “when the last (“l-akhirati”) promise came”, but according to the context, it can also be translated as “when the promise of the Hereafter (“l-akhirati”) comes”, because it refers to the Hereafter)(Note: Verse 28:70 is also included in those 113 times, because it obviously refers to the Hereafter “To Him all praises in the first and the last (akhirati / Hereafter)”)(Verse 29:20 is also include in those 113 times, because it also refers to the Hereafter, despite it is translated in the link below as “then Allah will produce the last (l-akhirata) creation”. The Hereafter is a creation or world in the afterworld)(Note: Verse 53:25 is also included in those 113 times; it is translated as “the last”, but it can also be translated as “for/(to) Allah (is/belongs) the Hereafter (”l-akhiratu”) and the first (life)”, because the context is about the “Hereafter”)(Allah knows best)
