Can Messengers perform miracles?
29:50 And they say, "Why are not Signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The Signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner."
(According to Verse 29:50, those who ask make mention that the Sign is from God, then the answer of the Messenger confirms it “the Signs are only with Allah”, so, the Messenger cannot decide it)(Allah knows best)
2:253 These Messengers, We preferred some of them over others. Among them were those with whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degrees. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. And if Allah had willed, those after them would not have fought each other after clear proofs came to them. But they differed, some of them believed and some denied. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends.
(Verse 29:50 says that Signs are from God, and Verse 2:253 supports it: “We gave Jesus” clear proofs, so the clear proofs are from God)(Allah knows best)
3:49 And a Messenger to the Children of Israel, "Indeed, I have come to you with a sign from your Lord - that I design for you from clay like the form of the bird, then I breath into it and it becomes a bird by the permission of Allah. And I cure the blind, and the leper, and I give life to the dead by the permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed, in that is surely a sign for you, if you are believers.
(Verse 3:49 says about Jesus “I cure”, “I design”, “I breath”, “I give life”. So, Jesus performs a Sign, and the Verse also says “a sign from your Lord”, and the Verse also says “by the permission of God”. So, there is no contradiction in the Verses. The Sign is only from God, because if He does not give it to Jesus, then there would be no Sign at all, and if God was not to give permission, then there would be no Sign at all, then the performer (Jesus) is “irrelevant”, because Jesus can not be given a sign on his own)(Allah knows best)
5:114 Said Jesus, son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table spread from the heaven that it may be a festival for us – for the first and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide us and You are best of the providers.
