Does God answer prayers?
14:40 My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my offsprings. Our Lord, and accept my prayer.
(Verse 14:40 suggests that the prayer has to be accepted, in order to be answered)(Allah knows best)
7:143 And when Moses came to Our appointed place and his Lord spoke to him, he said, "O my Lord, show me (that) I may look at You." He said, "you (can) never see Me, but look at the mountain; if it remains in its place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord revealed (His) Glory to the mountain, He made it crumbled to dust and Moses fell down unconscious. And when he recovered, he said, "Glory be to You, I turn to you, and I am the first of the believers."
(According Verse 7:143 and 4:153, you cannot ask for whatever you want)(Allah knows best)
4:153 The People of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. Indeed, they had asked Moses even greater than that for they said, "Show us Allah manifestly," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf after clear proofs came to them, then We forgave them for that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.
9:49 And among them is he who says, "Permit me and do not put me to trial." Surely, into trial they have fallen. And indeed, Hell will surely surround the disbelievers.
(You cannot test God, but God tests you)(You should not say things like: “if you don’t help me…” or “if you don’t give me...”)(Allah knows best)
2:214 Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while (has) not come to you as (came to) those who passed away before you? They were touched with adversity and hardship, and they were shaken until the Messenger and those who believed with him said, "When (will) Allah’s help (come)? Unquestionably, (Indeed) Allah’s help is near.
(The response could not be immediate)(Allah knows best)
13:38 And certainly, We sent Messengers before you and We made for them wives and offspring. And it was not for a Messenger to come with a sign except by the leave of Allah. For everything is a time prescribed.
28:68 And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. They do not have the choice. Glory be to Allah and High is He above what they associate.
22:35 Those, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts fear, and those who are patient over whatever has afflicted them, and those who establish the prayer, and they spend out of what We have provided them.
2:177 It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the east and the west but righteous is he who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets and gives wealth in spite of love for it to the near relatives, the orphans, the needy, the wayfarer, and those who ask, and in freeing the necks (slaves); and who establish prayer and give zakah and those who fulfill their covenant when they make it; and those who are patient in suffering, hardship, and periods of stress. Those are the ones who are true and it is those who are the righteous.
40:60 And your Lord said, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you. Indeed, those who are proud to worship Me will enter Hell in humiliation."
25:77 Say, "My Lord will not care for you, if not for your supplication. But verily, you have denied, so soon will be the inevitable (punishment)."
2:186 And when My servants ask you about Me, then indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls Me. So let them respond to Me and let them believe in Me, so that they may be led aright.
(The supplicant must also respond to God and believe in God)(Allah knows best)
19:48 And I will leave you and that which you invoke besides Allah and I will invoke my Lord. It may be that I will not be unblessed in invocation to my Lord."
(You cannot invoke other than God. So, you cannot ask to Jesus or Mary or anything created as some Christians and Hindus wrongly do)(Allah knows best)
35:14 If you invoke them, they do not hear your call; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like (the) All-Aware.
3:2 Allah - there is no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists.
