Is the concept of original sin right?
7:19 And O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in the Garden, and you both eat from wherever you both wish, but do not approach this tree, lest you both be among the wrongdoers." 7:20 Then Satan whispered to both of them to make apparent to both of them that which was concealed to both of them of their shame. And he said, "Did not Your Lord forbid you both this tree, except that you two become Angels or you two become of the immortals." ... 7:23 Both of them said "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers."
(Adam and his wife asked for forgiveness in order to be redeemed, so God turned to him, guided (him) (20:122), and accepted his repentance (2:37)). (Mankind was not sentenced to death because of what Adam and his wife did, because Adam and his wife were not actually immortal (7:20) before they committed the sin; therefore, that condition did not change after their error. This is also confirmed by Verse 21:34: “And We did not make for any man before you immortality; so if you die, then (would) they live forever?” It is also confirmed by the Bible in Genesis 3:22: “he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”) (Allah knows best)
20:120 Then Satan whispered to him, he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to (the) tree (of) the Eternity and a kingdom (that will) not deteriorate?"
2:36 Then Satan made (both of) them slip out of it, and he got (both of) them out from that in which they (both) were. And We said, "Go down (all of you), as enemies to one another; and on the earth, for you is a dwelling place and a provision for a period." 2:37 Then Adam received words from his Lord, so turned (fataba) towards him. Indeed He, He is the Oft-returning, the Most Merciful.
35:18 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden calls to carry its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he be a near of kin. You can only warn those who fear their Lord - unseen and establish the prayer. And whoever purifies himself, then only he purifies for his own self. And to Allah is the destination.
(The concept of “Jesus dying for your sins” or “bearing your sins” is a fabrication. Such a false concept is supported neither by the Qur’an nor the Bible (Deuteronomy 24:16, II Kings 14:6, Jeremiah 31:30, Ezekiel 18:20, Psalms 49:7, Numbers 35:33, Galatians 6:5). Christians may have taken the concept of “Jesus bearing your sins” from Galatians 6:2 and 1 Peter 2:24, showing that there are contradictions in the Bible; however, Galatians is not reliable because it contradicts itself, and Peter’s testimony is also unreliable because he is called “Satan” in Matthew 16:23. Another point is that Jesus did not write the Gospel; it is anonymous and was written in Greek instead of Aramaic (the language of Jesus), so it is not a reliable source. On the other hand, the Qur’an has been preserved.) (See the links below: “Is the Bible corrupted?” and “How do you know the Qur'an is from God?”) (Allah knows best)
17:15 Whoever is guided then is only guided for his soul. And whoever goes astray then only goes astray against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And We will not punish until We have sent a Messenger.
(The concept of inherited sin is a fabrication; there is individual responsibility.) (See the article below about Paul’s fabrications, titled “Jesus vs. Paul.”) (Allah knows best)
4:157 And for their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them. And indeed, those who differ in it are surely in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And certainly they did not kill him.
(The killing of Jesus would not have given salvation to the people, as those who kill Prophets are to be punishment (4:155, 2:61). Regarding salvation, Jesus was the one to be saved, not all of mankind; Jesus was not even sent to the gentiles, which is confirmed by Matthew 15:24: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” See the link below: “Did Jesus die for the sins of mankind? Was Jesus crucified?”) (Allah knows best)
20:121 Then they both ate of it, so their shame became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. 20:122 Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him and guided.
(These verses in the Bible are the most direct counter-arguments against the concept of inherited sin: Ezekiel 18:20: “The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.” Deuteronomy 24:16: “Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin.” 2 Chronicles 25:4: “…but each one shall die for his own sin.” Ecclesiastes 7:29: “Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.” Matthew 19:14: “But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (if children were born in sin, they would not be the standard for the kingdom). Romans 9:11: (Paul contradicts himself by saying about Jacob and Esau) “before the children were born or had done anything good or bad,”) (Allah knows best)
