To whom was Jesus sent? Was Jesus sent to the gentiles? Was the Gospel for the gentiles?

To whom was Jesus sent? Was Jesus sent to the gentiles? Was the Gospel for the gentiles?

3:49 And a Messenger to the Children of Israel, "Indeed, I have come to you with a sign from your Lord - that I design for you from clay like the form of the bird, then I breath into it and it becomes a bird by the permission of Allah. And I cure the blind, and the leper, and I give life to the dead by the permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed, in that is surely a sign for you, if you are believers.

(Jesus was only sent to the Children of Israel, not to the gentiles. This is supported by Matthew 15:24, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel”)(Once the Qur’an was revealed, Jews are required to follow the Qur’an, because Jesus directly announced them the coming of Muhammad (61:6))(In regard to Christians, they are also required to follow the Qur’an, because Muhammad was sent to the whole mankind (7:158, 34:28, 3:96, 21:107, 6:19, 36:70), including Jews and Christians)(See the link below “Is Muhammad mentioned in the Bible?” and “Is Muhammad a Prophet?”)(Allah knows best)

5:72 They certainly disbelieve who say, "Indeed Allah - He is the Messiah, the son of Mary." While the Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah, then surely Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his abode will be the Fire. And there will be no helpers for the wrongdoers.

61:14 O you who believe, be helpers of Allah, as said Jesus, son of Mary, to the disciples, "Who are my helpers for Allah?" The disciples said, "We are the helpers of Allah." Then a group of Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy and they became dominant.

61:6 And when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."

4:157 And for their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them. And indeed, those who differ in it are surely in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And certainly they did not kill him.

(According to Verse 4:157, the Jews thought that they had killed Jesus, so the purpose of making them think so was only addressed to the Jews, because the Verse says, “it was made to appear so “to them””. In order to save Jesus, according to Verse 5:110, the Children of Israel was restrained from Jesus. So, in regard to crucifixion, Jesus was the one to be saved, not mankind)(Jesus wasn’t even sent to the whole mankind, but only to the Children of Israel, so Jesus’ crucifixion couldn’t have saved the whole mankind anyhow. So non-Jews were not to be involved. Another point is that Jesus used parables. Matthew 13:13 and Luke 8:10 confirm that the purpose of the parables is that they may not understand. According to Matthew 13:34, “Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable”; according to Mark 4:34, Jesus explained everything in private to the (Jewish) disciples; according to John 18:20, Jesus said nothing in secret in synagogues or at the temple (Jewish places); according to Matthew 13:36, Jesus explain a parable in private to the (Jewish) disciples; and according to Matthew 10:5, “These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans”. So, one interpretation is that the parables were addressed to non-Jews / gentiles so that they may not understand, and, on the other hand, the matter was clearly explained to the Children of Israel, because Jesus was sent to the Children of Israel (61:14, 43:59, 3:47-50, 5:72, 61:6). Verse 61:6 confirms that Jesus came to the Children of Israel with clear evidences; and Verse 5:46 confirms that the Gospel was a Guidance and light, rather than unclear and confusing)(Allah knows best)

43:57 And when the son of Mary is presented as an example, behold, your people laughed aloud. 43:58 And they said, "Are our gods better, or (is) he?" They (do) not present it to you except (for) argument. Nay, they (are) a people argumentative. 43:59 He was not except a slave on whom We bestowed Our favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel. … 43:63 And when Jesus came with clear proofs, he said, "Verily, I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ. So fear Allah and obey me.

(Verse 43:59 confirms that Jesus was made an example for the Children of Israel; and Verse 43:63 confirms that Jesus came with clear proofs, and to make clear some of that over which they differ)(Allah knows best)

5:110 When Allah said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My Favor upon you and upon your mother when I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity. And when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you make from clay like the shape of the bird by My permission, then you breath into it, and it becomes a bird by My permission; and you heal those born blind and the leper by My permission; and when you bring forth the dead by My permission. And when I restrained the Children of Israel from you when you came to them with the clear proofs, then those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but clear magic."

(Some Christians say that some Psalms in the Old Testament refer to Jesus. If such attribution to Jesus were correct, it would confirm that, in regard to crucifixion, Jesus was the one to be saved, not the whole mankind: Psalm 22:16: “dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet”; Psalm 22:19: “but you, Lord, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me”; Psalm 22:20: “deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs”; Psalm 22:24: “but has listened to his cry for help”)(So, he is asking for help, he does not want to be killed by them. So, it is not about sacrificing his life to save mankind, but, like in the New Testament, Jesus was the one to be saved, not the whole mankind to whom Jesus wasn’t even sent. Hebrews 5:7 also says, “during the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission”. So, Psalm 22:24 and Hebrews 5:7 suggest that Jesus’ petition was responded)(Allah knows best)

4:123 Neither your desire nor the desire of the People of the Book. Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah any protector or any helper.

(Christians, who want to obtain salvation, have to follow the one who was sent to the whole mankind, so they have to follow the Qur’an)(Some Christians say that they would be saved by grace through faith alone, regardless of their deeds, while according to James 2:14-26, “faith without works is dead”; according to Matthew 5:17, Jesus confirmed the Law, “do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”; according to Matthew 23:2-3, “the teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.”; according to Acts 15:5 and 15:20, early Christians followed the Law, etc.)(The sentence “by grace you have been saved, through faith” (Ephesians 2:8) was said by Paul, not by Jesus. The early Christians followed the law, but Paul opposed Jesus by preaching that you do not have to follow the law)(Believing in the crucifixion or cross is not required to obtain salvation, but it was a false innovation which is not supported by the Torah, the Gospel or the Qur’an)(Paul’s writings emphasized the crucifixion. See the links below “Jesus vs. Paul”, “Is the concept of original sin right?”, “Did Jesus die for the sins of mankind? Was Jesus crucified?” and “Is salvation obtained by grace through Faith alone or also by works, following the law?”)(Allah knows best)

5:15 O People of the Book, surely there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. Surely there has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.

(“Bible” means “Books”, but those books comprise a single book. It is interpreted that “People of the Book” refer to Jews and Christians. Verse 5:15 says, “surely there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. Surely there has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book”. So, Jews and Christians have to follow the Qur’an, lest they be or become disbelievers)(Allah knows best)
