Was a woman responsible for the “original sin”?

Was a woman responsible for the “original sin”?

2:35 And We said, "O Adam, dwell you and your spouse in Paradise, and (you both) eat freely from wherever you (both) wish. But do not (you two) approach this tree, lest you (both) be of the wrongdoers."

(Verse 2:35 only mentions Adam being warned, about a prohibition for both of them, but Verse 7:22 confirms that both, Adam and his spouse, were equally warned)(The Verses of the Qur’an are not mutually exclusive, but complement each other)(Allah knows best)

7:20 Then Satan whispered to both of them to make apparent to both of them that which was concealed to both of them of their shame. And he said, "Did not Your Lord forbid you both this tree, except that you two become Angels or you two become of the immortals."

20:121 Then they both ate of it, so their shame became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred.

(Verse 20:121 only mentions “Adam” disobeying, but other Verses confirm that his spouse disobeyed too (2:36, 7:22-23, 20:121). So, the mention of one of them disobeying does not change the fact that both disobeyed. The Qur’an is linguistically correct)(Allah knows best)

2:36 Then Satan made (both of) them slip out of it, and he got (both of) them out from that in which they (both) were. And We said, "Go down (all of you), as enemies to one another; and on the earth, for you is a dwelling place and a provision for a period."

7:22 So he made both of them fall by deception. Then when they both tasted the tree, their shame became apparent to both of them, and they began to fasten over themselves the leaves of the Garden. And their Lord called both of them, "Did I not forbid both of you from this tree and say to both of you that Satan is to both of you an open enemy?" 7:23 Both of them said "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers."

(Both, Adam and his wife, were responsible, so both of them asked forgiveness)(Allah knows best)

14:22 And Satan will say, when the matter has been decided, "Indeed, Allah promised you a promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no any authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I (can)not be your helper, nor (can) you be my helper. Indeed, I deny your association of me before. Indeed, the wrongdoers, for them is a painful punishment."

19:23 Then the pains of childbirth drove her to (the) trunk (of) the date-palm. She said, "O, I wish I (had) died before this and I was (in) oblivion, forgotten."

(In regard to Judaism and Christianity, they make a woman responsible for the “original” sin; Genesis 3:12 says, “the man said, “the woman you put here with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it”; and Genesis 3:16 says, “to the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children”)(But the pains of childbirth are only mentioned as a fact in the Qur’an (19:23), not as a punishment. Both, men and women, suffer pain in this world, both die, and both could go to Paradise, or Hell. According to an article in dailymail(dot)co(dot)uk, by “Stephen Adams health correspondent for the mail on sunday”: “Kidney stones are worse than childbirth, say mothers who have endured the pain of both”; so the article confirms the fact that men can suffer a pain similar, yet worse than childbirth; besides other pains that men might suffer in this world. So, from that point of view (pain), men would not be free of responsibility for the so-called original sin; though, in Islam, sins are not inherited)(Adam and his wife asked forgiveness in order to be redeemed, God chose him, turned to him and guided (20:122), and accepted the repentance (2:37). There is no explicit mention of his spouse being forgiven, but it does not necessarily imply that she was not forgiven, but Verse 2:38 says, “go down from it, all (of you)”, so they had equal consequences)(According to the Qur’an, she asked forgiveness as well, and there is no mention of she being worse than Adam in the matter of disobedience. Notice that Adam was “directly” warned (“O Adam” 2:35), and Adam was a Messenger, so it might suggest that Adam informed his spouse about the prohibition, so Adam might have had the duty of conveying God’s warning. See the link below, “Is there any difference between a Messenger and a Prophet?”, in which it is confirmed that Adam was Messenger)(Mankind was not sentenced to death because of what Adam and his wife did, because actually Adam and his wife were not immortal (7:20), before they committed sin, so that condition did not change after their error. That is confirmed by Verse 21:34, “And We did not make for any man before you immortality; so if you die, then (would) they live forever?”, and by Verse 7:20, "Did not Your Lord forbid you both this tree, except that you two become Angels or you two become of the immortals.". And it is also confirmed by the Bible, in Genesis 3:22, “he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever”)(Allah knows best)

21:34 And We did not make for any man before you immortality; so if you die, then (would) they live forever?

(The Verse implies that there was no immortality before him, in this world, so there is no immortality after him either, in this world. In other words, all humans are to die in this world, so “if they die” (21:34), then they do not “live forever” (21:34) in this world. On the other hand, humans are to live forever in the Hereafter)(Allah knows best)

20:120 Then Satan whispered to him, he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to (the) tree (of) the Eternity and a kingdom (that will) not deteriorate?"
