Did God want the world to believe in wrong things? (e.g. allowing the Bible to be corrupted; or it was made to appear that Jesus was killed and crucified)
4:157 And for their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them. And indeed, those who differ in it are surely in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And certainly they did not kill him.
(According to the Bible, Jesus was only sent to the Children of Israel, not to the whole mankind. The Qur'an says that "it was made to appear so to them". Who are "them"? The ones who said "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah." (4:157). So, it was made to appear that Jesus was crucified to the wrongdoers. God doesn't deceive the believers. But another point is that the Qur'an doesn't say "God made to appear...", but it says "it was made to appear". Who made it to appear so? If Pilate had released "Barabbas" instead of the Messiah, Pilate would have been sentenced to death, because Barabbas fought the Romans. So, Pilate might have wanted to make to appear so to the people, though it is not said in the Qur’an)(See the link below “Did Jesus die for the sins of mankind? Was Jesus crucified?”)(Allah knows best)
6:26 And they forbid (others) from it and they keep away from it. And they do not destroy except themselves, and they do not perceive.
(In regard to why God allows, for example, the Bible to be corrupted, or allows people going astray, or sinning: people have free will, so people is able to wrong themselves. God is free of need, and He is not to be blamed for what they do to themselves (e.g. people disobey God after clear proofs came to the them (30:9)). So, God does not guide the wrongdoers (22:18, 3:40, 14:27). Another point is that God does what He wills (14:27). He is a Guardian over the Qur’an (15:9); and actually the Qur’an is a guardian over the Bible (5:48), and a Criterion (25:1, 3:4), in order to know what is true. And the Qur’an is for the whole mankind, including Jews and Christians, so they do not have an excuse, but, even if the Bible was corrupted, they have the Qur’an. So, people were not left in darkness, but after people corrupted the Bible, there was a new revelation for the whole mankind: the Qur’an, which explains that in which they differed (16:64))(God does not want injustice to the people (3:108, 68:52, 3:164, 81:27))(See the links below “Do we have free will?”, “Does God need you?”, “For whom is Islam/the Qur'an?”)(Allah knows best)
16:64 And We have not revealed to you the Book except that you make clear to them that in which they differed, and as a guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
29:40 So We seized each of them for his sin. Then of them was he upon whom We sent a violent storm, and of them was he who was seized by the awful cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow him, and of them was he whom We drowned. It was not for Allah to wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
30:9 Have they not traveled in the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were mightier than them in strength, and they dug the earth and built on it more than they have built on it. And their Messengers came to them with clear proofs. So Allah was not to wrong them, but they were (doing) wrong themselves.
6:112 And thus We made for every Prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring one another with decorative speech in deception. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and what they invent.
2:251 So they defeated them by permission of Allah , and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him the kingdom and the wisdom and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for the repelling by Allah, [the] people - some of them with others, the earth would have certainly been corrupted, [and] but Allah is Possessor of bounty to the worlds.
