17:68 Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a side of the land to swallow you, or send against you a storm of stones? Then you will not find a guardian for yourselves?

(The One Who created everything is Able to send a storm of stones, and thunderbolts. God is All-Powerful over everything (2:20). Events like the land swallowing people might be uncommon, but it happened in the past and also at the present time; it is recorded in the Bible (Numbers 16:32, 26:10 “and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them”); and at the present time, for example, in 2018, as described by the newspaper “Straits Times”: “Sulawesi quake: The ground opened up and swallowed people”)(Disbelievers find that these events happen in a disordered or chaotic manner, as if God was not Able to do that, but chaos cannot do it, nor can chaos create the universe. The disbelievers wonder about the Qur’an, on how difficult or impossible it might be, but the creation itself is a miracle, so whether the event is common or uncommon, all events are “impossible”, unless God wills / allows it to happen. God created everything, while “time”, “chaos” or “nature” are unable to create, so disbelievers are the ones who believe in nonsense or fairy tales)(Allah knows best)

2:47 O Children of Israel, remember My Favor which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you over the worlds. ... 2:50 And when We parted the sea for you, then We saved you, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking.

(It was an event witnessed by people and registered in the Torah. The Qur’an confirms that the Children of Israel witnessed that event (“while you were looking”), despite it is not a common event, but it was a favor to them, at that time)(Allah knows best)

3:44 That is from the news of the unseen - We reveal it to you. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them takes charge of Mary; nor were you with them when they were disputing.

(Those who do not believe in the stories, they were not there, so they speculate. The Qur’an is also a proof that the stories really happened, because the Qur’an could not be revealed by other than God (2:23-24, 17:88). 19:9 He said, "Thus, your Lord said, 'It is easy for Me, and certainly I have created you before, while you were nothing.'"

2:20 The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Whenever it flashes for them, they walk therein, and when it darkens on them, they stand (still). And if Allah had willed, He would certainly have taken away their hearing, and their sight. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over everything.

(The disbelievers wonder about earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. as a punishment from God, while it is as surprising as other events as a Mercy from God, for example God sending water from the sky, or directing the winds between the sky and the earth, which are called “Signs” in Verse 2:164)(For example, Scientists say that the wind is caused by differences in the atmospheric pressure; then what causes the pressure differences? According to scientist, the sun heats different parts of the earth differently, causing pressure differences; their conclusion is that the sun is the driving force for “most” winds; then, what causes / created the sun? And so on; finally they won’t be able to answer what created or caused the universe, and the Big Bang; which implies that they cannot answer what moves the winds)(“Chaos” is unable to do it, so disbelievers are the ones who believe in fairy tales. Because the creation follows an order. God sustains/upholds the whole thing, because God is the Sustainer of existence (2:255); “Allah upholds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease” (35:41))(Allah knows best)

35:41 Indeed, Allah upholds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease. And if they should cease, no one can uphold them after Him. Indeed, He is Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving.

21:33 And He is the One Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in an orbit.

7:57 And He is the One Who sends the winds (as) glad tidings before His Mercy, until, when they have carried heavy clouds, We drive them to a dead land then We send down water therein then We bring forth from it all (kinds) of fruits. Thus We will bring forth the dead so that you may take heed.

40:82 Do they not travel through the land and see how was the end of those who were before them? They were more numerous than them and mightier in strength and impressions on the land, but what they use to earn did not avail them.

6:59 And with Him are the keys of the unseen, none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. And not a leaf falls but He knows it. And there is not a grain in the darkness of the earth and not (anything) moist or dry but is in a Clear Record.

10:3 Indeed, your Lord is Allah, the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then He established Himself on the Throne, disposing the affairs. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?

3:154 Then He sent down on you, after the distress, security - slumber overcoming a group of you, while another group certainly worried about themselves, thinking about Allah other than the truth - the thought of ignorance, saying, "Is there anything for us from the matter?" Say, "Indeed all the matter of it is for Allah." They hide in themselves what they do not reveal to you. They say, "If there was anything for us from the matter we would not have been killed here." Say, "If you were in your houses, those on whom death was decreed would have surely come out to their places of death. And that Allah might test what is in your breasts and that He may purge what is in your hearts. And Allah is All-Aware of what is in the breasts.
