Are humans created from a clot of blood?

Are humans created from a clot of blood?

96:2 He created man from a clinging substance (‘alaqin).

(The Qur’an does not say “clot of blood”. The root of “Alaq” is “Ayn-Lam-Qaf”, and it means “to adhere to, hang, have an attachment, cling, hold fast, catch, suspend, etc.”. If a clot of blood is called “Alaq” is because it clings or sticks (e.g. blood sticks together), not because it was a “clot of blood”)(Allah knows best)

23:12 And indeed, We created humankind from an essence of clay. 23:13 Then (thumma) We placed him as a drop in a firm resting place. 23:14 Then (thumma) We created the drop into a clinging substance (‘alaqatan), then (fa) We created the clinging substance (l-’alaqata) into an embryonic lump, then We created the embryonic lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh; then We produce it as another creation. So blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators.

(These Verses confirm that “Alaq” only means “clinging substance”; according to the chronology of the Verses (“fa” (then) and “thumma” (then) indicate chronology in Arabic), the drop/zygote (sperm and ovum fused) is placed in a firm resting place (uterus or womb), then (thumma) the drop/zygote becomes a clinging substance (“alaq” / blastocyst), then (fa) the clinging substance is implanted/embedded in the uterine wall, and it develops into an embryonic lump. So, “Alaq” is made up of cells, not blood, and it is to be implanted in the uterine wall, and it is previous to being a solid embryo (embryonic lump))(Allah knows best)

4:129 And you will never be able to deal justly between the women even if you desired, but do not incline (with) all the inclination and leave her like the suspended one (kal-mu’alaqati). And if you reconcile and fear - then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(This Verse reaffirms the meaning of Alaq (that which clings). According to Verse 4:129, he cannot incline to only one wife and leave the other like the suspended one (like neither divorced nor married), then he must reconcile or divorce. So, blood” is not involved in Verse 4:129, nor in Verses 96:2 and 23:12-14 about the creation of mankind (Once it is a clinging substance, it is suspended until it gets implanted). So, you have to use a meaning according to its context; sometimes not all meanings of a word can be applied. E.g. an “example” is not “struck”, but it is “presented” (66:11))(Allah knows best)

7:133 So We sent on them the flood, and the locusts, and the lice, and the frogs and the blood (wal-dama) as manifest signs, but they showed arrogance and they were a criminal people.

(There is a specific word for “blood” in the Qur’an, and has a different root: “Dal-Miim-Miim / Dal-Miim-Waw”)(Allah knows best)
