Is reincarnation true?

40:11 They will say, "Our Lord, You gave us death twice and You gave us life twice, and we confess our sins. So is there any way to get out?"

(Death and life are twice for everybody. A person was dead (non-existent), then alive (in this world), then the person dies (in this world), then is resurrected (on the Day of Resurrection), and judged by God)(The man-made concept of an endless cycle of rebirths is wrong)(Allah knows best)

2:28 How can you disbelieve in Allah? While you were dead, then He gave you life; then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life, then to Him you will be returned.

7:57 And He is the One Who sends the winds (as) glad tidings before His Mercy, until, when they have carried heavy clouds, We drive them to a dead land then We send down water therein then We bring forth from it all (kinds) of fruits. Thus We will bring forth the dead so that you may take heed.

76:1 Has there come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing mentioned? 76:2 Indeed, We created man from a drop, a mixture, We test him; so We made (for) him hearing and sight.

44:56 They will not taste death therein except the first death. And He will protect them from the punishment of the Hellfire,

(“First death” refers to the death in this world. This interpretation is confirmed by Verses 37:54-59, which refer to the punishment of the Hereafter, after the first death)(Allah knows best)

37:55 Then he (will) look and see him in (the) midst (of) the Hellfire. 37:56 He (will) say, "By Allah, verily, you almost ruined me. 37:57 And if not (for the) Grace (of) my Lord, I (would) certainly have been among those brought. 37:58 Then, are we not to die, 37:59 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 37:60 Indeed, this is surely the great attainment. 37:61 For the like of this, let the workers work.

(According to the context, the sentences “are we not to die, except for our first death, and we will not be punished?” (37:58-59) are said by the one or ones who were saved from Hellfire, so after their “first death” (37:59) in this world, they are not to die (37:58) anymore (in Paradise), nor be punished. “This is surely the great attainment. For the like of this, let the workers work” (37:60-61))(Allah knows best)

19:98 And how many a generation We destroyed before them? Can you perceive anyone of them or hear a sound from them?

22:66 And He (is) the One Who gave you life, then He will cause you to die, then (again) He will give you life. Indeed, man (is) surely ungrateful.

23:99 Until when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 23:100 That I may do righteous (deeds) in what I left behind." No, indeed, it is a word that he speaks, and before them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.

45:26 Say, "Allah gives you life, then causes you to die; then He will gather you on the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt." But most of the people do not know.
