Why do you do the things that you do?

Why do you do the things that you do?

53:43 And that He makes (one) laugh and makes (one) weep.

17:13 And for every man We have fastened his fate in his neck, and We will bring forth for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will find wide open.

(Verse 17:13 mentions a record, containing someone’s deeds. Someone’s fate is upon himself)(Allah knows best)

7:178 Whoever Allah guides, then he is the guided one while whoever He lets go astray, then those are the losers. 7:179 And certainly We have created many jinn and men for Hell. They have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like cattle, nay, they are more astray. Those - they are the heedless.

(Mankind was created to willingly worshiping the Creator (free will), so people might obey or disobey and make mistakes. There is a prediction of jinn and men going to Hell, because free will implies that they are to be blamed if they choose disobedience)(Allah knows best)

51:56 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

19:83 Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them with incitement.

16:63 By Allah, certainly We have sent to nations before you, but Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them. So he is their ally today, and for them is a painful punishment.

2:88 And they said, "Our hearts are wrapped." Nay, Allah has cursed them for their disbelief; so little is that which they believe.

(Mankind was created to willingly worship God, so they suffer the consequences of their disbelief)(Those who are cursed can be forgiven (24:4-5, 24:23), if they repent and reform before they die)(Allah knows best)

22:3 And among mankind is he who disputes concerning Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil. 22:4 It has been decreed for him that he who befriends him, then indeed, he will misguide him and will guide him to the punishment of the Blaze.

2:168 O mankind, eat from what is on the earth - lawful (and) good. And do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. 2:169 He only commands you to do evil and the shameful and that you say about Allah what you do not know.

4:120 He promises them and arouses desires in them. And Satan does not promise them except deception.

39:23 Allah has revealed the best statement - a Book, resembling each other oft-repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah, He guides with it whom He wills. And whoever Allah lets go astray, then there is no guide for him.

(See the link below “Is God’s action of punishment or mercy and guidance or misguidance arbitrary?”)(Allah knows best)

15:39 He said, "My Lord, because You misled me, surely, I will make (evil) fair-seeming to them in the earth, and I will mislead them all

76:29 Indeed, this is a reminder, so whoever wills, let him take a way to his Lord. 76:30 And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.

(On one hand, Verses 81:28 and 76:29 indicate that there is free will (“whoever wills ...” (81:28, 76:29)). That’s because mankind was created to willingly worship God. On the other hand, “you do not will except that Allah wills” (81:28, 76:29); that’s because no one believes except by permission of God (10:100); and everything happens by His permission (58:10))(The prediction of filling Hell with men (38:85) does not imply that mankind has not free will, but, on the contrary, it implies free will, because if there were no free will, they could not be blamed, nor punished in Hell. God is not unjust, and you cannot make God an excuse, but mankind wrong themselves (22:10))(Allah knows best)

13:11 For him are successive before and behind him who protect him by the Command of Allah . Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people misfortune, there is no turning away of it. And there is not for them besides Him any protector.

(This Verse confirms that mankind was created to willingly worshiping God)(Allah knows best)

43:20 And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshiped them." They have of that no knowledge. They do nothing but lie.

(They cannot make God an excuse)(Allah knows best)

9:66 Make no excuse; verily, you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon a party of you, We will punish a party, because they were criminals.

33:72 Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and they feared from it; but man bore it. Indeed, he was unjust (and) ignorant.

26:221 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 26:222 They descend upon every sinful liar.
