Is Christianity a pagan religion?

Is Christianity a pagan religion?

4:171 O People of the Book, do not commit excess in your religion and do not say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Glory be to Him, that He (should) have a son for Him. To Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

(“Paganism” is defined as “a religion other than one of the main world religions, specifically a non-Christian or pre-Christian”)(Despite of this definition, Christianity is a pagan religion, because it differs from the Torah, even from the Gospel itself. So, it is other than God’s religion. And Christianity has man-made concepts (e.g. “trinity” concept, “son of god” concept, etc.). See the article below “How the Qur’an corrects Christianity?”)(Allah knows best)

19:22 So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place. 19:23 Then the pains of childbirth drove her to (the) trunk (of) the date-palm. She said, "O, I wish I (had) died before this and I was (in) oblivion, forgotten." 19:24 So cried to her from beneath her, "That do not grieve, verily, your Lord (has) placed beneath you a stream. 19:25 And shake towards you (the) trunk (of) the date-palm, it will drop upon you fresh ripe dates.

(The birth of Jesus (December 25) is a Christian/pagan celebration. Quoting a Christian website: “there is no evidence for this date. The early Christian church did not celebrate Jesus’ birth. It wasn’t until A.D. 440 that the church officially proclaimed December 25 as the birth of Christ. This was not based on any religious evidence but on a pagan feast. Saturnalia was a tradition inherited by the Roman pagans from an earlier Babylonian priesthood. December 25 was used as a celebration of the birthday of the sun god. It was observed near the winter solstice. The apostles in the Bible predicted that some Christians would adopt pagan beliefs to enable them to make their religion more palatable to the pagans around them. Therefore, some scholars think the church chose the date of this pagan celebration to interest them in Christianity. The Bible itself tells us that December 25 is an unlikely date for his birth. Palestine is very cold in December. The shepherds were in the fields (Luke 2:8-12). Shepherds were not in the fields in the winter time. They are in the fields early in March until early October. This would place Jesus’ birth in the spring or early fall, ...”)(Source: article “Was Jesus born on December 25?” by “allaboutjesuschrist(dot)org”)(According to the Qur’an, when Jesus was born, there were fresh ripe dates, but the harvest season of dates is not in Winter, so according to this, Jesus was not born on 25th December)(Allah knows best)

13:13 And the thunder glorifies His praise and (so do) the Angels for fear of Him. And He sends the thunderbolts and strikes with it whom He wills, yet they dispute about Allah. And He is Mighty in Strength. 13:14 To Him is supplication of truth. And those whom they invoke besides Him, they do not respond to them with a thing, except like one who stretches his hands towards water to reach his mouth, but it does not reaches it. And not is the supplication of the disbelievers but in error.

(Words other than “Allah” might have a pagan origin; for example, “God” in English: according to the article “God (word)” in wikipedia, “a significant number of scholars have connected this root (“Gaut”) with names of three related Germanic tribes: the Geats, the Goths, and the Gutar. These names may be derived from an eponymous chieftain Gaut, who was subsequently deified. He also sometimes appears in early medieval sagas as a name of Odin or one of his descendants … Some variant forms of the name Odin such as the Lombardic Godan may point in the direction that the Lombardic form actually comes from Proto-Germanic gudanaz. Wodanaz or Wodinaz is the reconstructed Proto-Germanic name of a god of Germanic paganism, known as Odin in Norse mythology, Woden in Old English, Wodan or Wotan in Old High German and Godan in the Lombardic language. Godan was shortened to God over time and was adopted/retained by the Germanic peoples of the British isles as the name of their deity, in lieu of the Latin word Deus used by the Latin speaking Christian church, after conversion to Christianity”)(Allah knows best)

40:62 That is Allah, your Lord, Creator of all things, there is no god except Him. So how are you deluded?

(In regard to the word “deus”, (“god” in Latin language), according to the article “deus” in wiktionary(dot)org, deus is “from Old Latin deivos, from Proto-Italic deiwos, from Proto-Indo-European deywós. Cognates with Ancient Greek “Zeús”, and with Persian “div (demon)”, among other words. So, the word “deus” and its derivatives (e.g. dieu in french, dios in Spanish, deus in Portuguese, dio in Italian, zeu in Romanian, etc.) are related to Greek mythology (“Zeus is the sky and thunder god in ancient Greek religion, who rules as king of the gods of Mount Olympus. His name is cognate with the first element of his Roman equivalent Jupiter” (source: article Zeus in wikipedia))(The words “deus / dios...” are very similar to “theos” (“god” in Greek language), though dictionaries suspiciously deny that “theos” is from the same source)(Allah knows best)

3:2 Allah (al-lahu) - there is no God (ilaha) except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists. 3:3 He revealed to you the Book in truth which confirms that which was before it and He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

(“Allah” and “ilah” (literally “the God” and “god”), in the Qur’an, use the same Semitic root word than “eloah”, “elah”, “el” and “elohim” in the Bible)(Allah revealed the Torah, the Gospel and the Qur’an. Notice how similar are “elah” in Aramaic (the language of the original Gospel), “eloah” in Hebrew (the language of the original Torah), and “ilah” in Arabic (the original language of the Qur’an))(The word “Allah” has no gender, nor plural in Arabic, because God is One God (2:163), and there is no any equivalent to God (112:4))(Allah knows best)

3:52 Then when Jesus perceived disbelief from them, he said, "Who (will be) my helpers (of) Allah." The disciples said "We (will be the) helpers (of) Allah, we believe in Allah and bear witness that we are Muslims.

(The early “Christians” declared themselves Muslims (aka “Submitted” (to God))(According to Acts 11:26, the disciples were called “Christians” first in Antioch, so the word “Christian” was innovated, because it is not mentioned in any of the four Gospels)(The word “Christian” is also not used in the Qur’an; the literal translation of the Arabic word is “Nazarenes” ((followers) of the Nazarene))(Allah knows best)

5:72 They certainly disbelieve who say, "Indeed Allah - He is the Messiah, the son of Mary." While the Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah, then surely Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his abode will be the Fire. And there will be no helpers for the wrongdoers.

(Paul opposed/contradicted Jesus, by inventing new (Christian) concepts which are not supported by the Torah, Gospel or the Qur’an)(See the link below: “Jesus vs. Paul” and “How the Qur’an corrects Christianity?”)(Allah knows best)

4:172 Never would the Messiah disdain to be a slave of Allah nor the Angels near. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant, then He will gather them towards Him all together.

(Another point is that there are evidences in the Gospel that the Christians mixed stories of two different characters bearing the same name: “Jesus”. So, many sentences attributed to “Jesus the Messiah”, were said by “Jesus Barabbas”. And there are other evidences that the New Testament was corrupted. See the links below: “Jesus the Messiah” vs. “Jesus Barabbas” and “Is the Bible corrupted?”)(Allah knows best)
